GoogleWe ordered a few items to try. The butter chicken naan melt was okay - nothing standout, but decent. The hara bhara roll was nice and enjoyable. The karak chai was good and comforting. We also tried the Lotus Biscoff milk cake, but the topping was a bit too much for us and overall it was too sweet. It’s a small, casual café with a relaxed vibe. Prices are affordable, and it’s a nice place to meet friends, sit, and chill rather than go for something exceptional.

GoogleI bought a caramel karak chai and a chicken tikka wrap, the chai was okay 5/10 and the chicken tikka wrap was DISGUSTING the chicken smelt of grease and expired chicken it was grey, there was also a big bit of red string inside my wrap I couldn’t even finish it. The raitha sauce was also very disgusting and didn’t taste of yoghurt or mint at all. Just two items cost me £10 !???! I’m never going to buy from here again better off wasting money at chaiiwala at least they’re wraps are edible!

GoogleHad our first breakfast here during our trip to Ilford. The breakfast meal is enough to cover you for the morning and its delicious. The Karak Chai is so nice, really warms the heart and a great beverage to start the day. The lady that serves us was friendly too. Keep up the good work.

GoogleKadak Chai, Ilford – A Cosy Spot for Chai and Comfort Food Kadak Chai in Ilford offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or simply catching up over a cup of chai. During our visit, Siddharth was at the till, ensuring smooth service with his friendly and attentive approach. His welcoming demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable. Food & Drinks The menu here is quite diverse, covering everything from quick snacks to heartier meals. The range of chai and drinks is impressive, catering to different palates. I tried the Cinnamon Kadak Chai, which was served hot and packed a comforting warmth, making it a great choice, especially on a chilly day. As for the food, the Bombay Sandwich was well-presented and flavorful, though I have had better versions elsewhere. On the other hand, the Gunpowder Fries were outstanding—crispy, full of spice, and bursting with bold flavors. They were a definite highlight of the meal! Everything was served hot, which is always a plus. Ambience & Seating The restaurant has a nice seating arrangement, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Whether you're looking for a casual dining experience or a quick chai break, the setting is quite comfortable. Final Thoughts Overall, Kadak Chai delivers well on service, atmosphere, and a solid variety of food and drinks. While some dishes stood out more than others, I would love to explore the menu further before making a final judgment. If you're in the area and in the mood for a good chai and some flavorful bites, this is definitely a spot worth checking out!
