About Barcelos

Barcelos opened its first store in Pretoria, South Africa in 1993. Using recipes mastered by the Portuguese hundreds of years ago, our flame grilled flavours became so popular that we franchised the business in 1998. Since then we have opened outlets in 16 countries including SA, Lesotho, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Canada, UK, Dubai, Oman, Mauritius, Singapore, and soon in Pakistan, India & Qatar.

Perfect experience. Jonathan at reception was super helpful with amazing tips. All the staff was very friendly. The room cleaning team is superbeb. Rooftop beers very cold which added to the amazing views of the city. The pool is not super huge, so we need to be aware of the others so we can all enjoy the pool. For example, don't splash around in goggles for 1h while others are trying to enjoy a nice time. Or don't french kiss your partner in the middle of the pool. But this is more to do with common sense then with the hotel in itself ;)
