I’ve been waiting to take some decent photos before posting a review, but alas! Everytime we pickup our order we’re so ready to devour it that we forget about photos. So here’s the tea: this place is better than all its competitors. Including (as another reviewer mentioned): halal guys. This place doesn’t just beat them by milesss, it leaves them in the dust. And this is coming from a true New Yorker. I worked and went to grad school in Manhattan so halal cart food was my go-to. The first time I walked up to NYC Halal Bites, I asked Ali if this is actually like NYC halal food trucks bc otherwise I’d be very disappointed. He said try it for yourself and try the competition and you decide. So I did. I can’t explain how delicious these platters are. How filling they are. Ali is extremely generous with his portions (much more than his competitors). The rice is phenomenal (unlike his competitor’s). The chicken and gyro is well cooked. His sauces are delicious (we get white sauce, hot sauce and chipotle sauce). He’s such a nice, down-to-earth guy working really hard to build his business, and it is my husband’s and my pleasure to support him.
