As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Ordered food from this location on Ubereats. Bought 3 shawarma wraps and upsized 2 of them. They barely filled them with meat and toppings. The wraps were WAY thinner than other locations and were more pita than filling (see picture). I have been to many Osmows locations and this is the first one that I have come across that is cheaping out on the meat and fillings. Its so much less that I noticed as soon as I took the wraps out of the bag. There seem to be many other reviews which complain about the same and they are correct. I just wish I had read them before ordering. Value vs. Cost is definitely not there and I definitely will not order here again. They give you about half of the meat and filling compared to other locations. Hoping that this review saves others from going there and getting ripped off. If you are looking for a good location my regular one is the Sandalwood and Kennedy location, they dont skimp out on filling and you get your money's worth, unlike this location. When I go back to the Sandalwood location I will order the same wrap and try to edit my review so everyone can see a side by side comparison. The owners of this location should be ashamed charging regular price and giving customers half of what they pay for.
