I had tried some Korean food before in Korean BBQ restaurants, but after watching the Korean drama Reply 1988, I really started craving Korean food 😄 The way they cooked and shared meals in the show looked so warm and comforting, and honestly it became one of my favorite series. Also, one of coworkers who studies Korean and is very interested in Korean culture recommended this restaurant to us, so we decided to try it — and honestly, we had a really lovely experience. The food was delicious, and I genuinely enjoyed the flavors of everything we ordered. But for me personally, the kimchi pancake was definitely my favorite. 😁😜 What made the experience even more enjoyable was going there with people who actually knew the dishes, the culture, and could explain what everything was. Since I’ve always been interested in Korean culture myself, it made the whole experience feel much more special and fun. We ordered several different Korean dishes so we could try a variety of things, and overall we really enjoyed it. The only small thing that stayed in my mind was that toward the end, we were reminded a few times that the restaurant would be closing soon. Of course, I completely understand that they also have working hours and wanted to finish for the day, but maybe it would have felt a little more comfortable if it had been explained more directly from the beginning, something like: “Just to let you know, we’ll be closing around 4 PM today.”😅😅😅 That would have been enough for us to understand the timing naturally without feeling slightly rushed, especially because we were enjoying the atmosphere and wanted to spend more time talking together. Maybe we just weren’t used to it, but aside from that, the experience was genuinely very good and I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
