Darmisk Grill – Belfast Review We were looking for a quick dinner upon arriving in Belfast and noticed Darmisk Grill, which had a high Google rating. Encouraged by the reviews, we decided to give it a try. While the experience was generally good, it fell short of the five-star expectations set by its rating. Positives • Taste Quality: Most of the dishes we ordered were flavorful and well-prepared. The seasoning and cooking were impressive overall. • Menu Variety: The restaurant offers a decent selection of dishes, catering to different tastes. Drawbacks • Initial Welcome: The restaurant was busy when we arrived, and we didn’t feel particularly welcomed. We assumed this was due to the rush, but first impressions matter. • Service Speed: It took a long time for our food to arrive, and we noticed that tables seated after us were served before us. This inconsistency was disappointing. • Fried Chicken Issue: One major letdown was the fried chicken dish. It was excessively oily, and the portion size did not match the price. The set included four pieces, but one was a very small wing, which felt unfair (as shown in the photo). • Value for Money: Compared to similar restaurants offering better service and portion sizes for similar prices, this experience did not justify a five-star rating. Overall Impression Darmisk Grill delivers good flavors, but the slow service, lack of warm hospitality, and poor value for money prevent it from being an outstanding choice. It’s a decent option if you’re nearby, but not one I’d rank among the best in Belfast.
