I went to this Moroccan restaurant with a Moroccan friend and tried their 4-course dinner for $30 per person. The place felt really authentic right away, especially with the classy decor that reminded him of his hometown. We started with Mechouia, a grilled pepper and tomato salad with garlic and olive oil, and Pastilla (which was $8 extra), a sweet-savoury puff pastry with chicken, almonds, eggs, cinnamon, and saffron honey. For mains, we had Royal Couscous with chicken, lamb shank, beef sausage, vegetables, and chickpeas, plus a chicken tagine with lemons and olives. Both were rich, comforting, and full of flavour. We ended with dark chocolate truffles and mint tea, which was refreshing and classic. Overall, it felt authentic, well-priced, and like a real taste of Morocco.
