As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Osmow's. I ordered a bowl of rice and halfway through eating, I found a hair mixed in my food. It was absolutely disgusting and completely ruined my meal. The moment I saw it, I lost my appetite and had no choice but to throw the entire bowl in the garbage. Food hygiene should be a basic standard at any restaurant, and finding hair in a customer's food is unacceptable. Not only did I waste my money, but I also left feeling frustrated and disgusted. I expected much better quality and cleanliness from a place that serves so many customers every day. This was a terrible experience, and I am very unhappy with how my meal turned out. I hope management takes food safety and cleanliness more seriously because no customer should have to deal with this.
