Hands down the greatest bar in Philly. I will start with how I left my $350 Beats by Dre headphones there overnight and I came back the next day upon opening and they had them behind the bar for me!! Right on passyunk, very vibrant area near south street and an accessible area. It is a lowkey bar with a shallow crevice-like narrow hallway atmosphere. It is a cool place because it reminds me of the bars in Europe- notably Italy. It feels like you’re underground in there. Like, you dip inside, and feel like you teleported to Europe, Spain, Portugal, or Italy. It is cool and I will be coming back for sure. I know that I’m accepted at this place as I’ve made many friends and have had 0 issues at this place. Will recommend to all my homies.
Love The Dive! I drive from Jersey just to hang out to start off the night or adventure. Citywide’s are in full effect and it’s no frills in there but it’s great. Never had any food so sorry for the low rating but I will always stop in.
Great dive bar, good prices, super friendly bartender and great atmosphere!
A must-stop and hidden gem for service and cheap drink combos. Will return for the drinks and great company of Richie and the staff.
PHILADELPHIA, PA: we love a dog friendly bar and The Dive Bar is one of the most unique we have been to! Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome on all three floors with the bar being on the 1st level, a smoking area on the 2nd, and a pool table and games on the 3rd. Dive is the right name for this bar (and we love it) having been around for a while, dark lighting, wood paneling, and walls that have probably seen thousands of patrons walk through the doors and up the stairs. The bartenders are great, prices are good, and Happy Hour is Monday-Sunday from 5-7pm with $3 draughts. There are also a couple of TVs to watch the game in this sports city!
The best dive in Philly by a mile and a top 10 on the east coast. A must visit. If you get Colonel Ritchie as your bartender you’re in for a treat. A true gentleman and a scholar. 10/10. Love this place.
