I visited the Gong Cha location on Gordon Road on January 12, 2026. I ordered a drink at the counter, but the service I received from a female staff member was very disappointing. Her English was very difficult to understand, and she spoke extremely quietly. When I could not hear her clearly and asked her to repeat herself, she seemed annoyed and impatient. When she asked about the sugar level, she spoke so softly that I couldn’t hear at all, and instead of explaining politely, she pointed at a note paper with a very unfriendly attitude. I don’t understand why I had to receive such discomfort. I did nothing wrong — I was simply a customer trying to place an order. Throughout the entire interaction, I did not receive a single smile or any basic customer service courtesy. I paid for my drink like any other customer. I was not asking for anything for free. I believe customers deserve to be treated with respect, patience, and basic politeness. I truly hope this staff member can improve her attitude and customer service, because this experience left me very disappointed.
