Islamic Center of Hawaii

Muslims of Hawaii form a vibrant society. On the Big Island, the Islamic Center of Hawaii arranges various social and religious programs for Muslims, as well as educational programs for non-Muslims. It has been hosting hundreds of Muslim families, students, and tourists. The Muslim Association of Hawaii located on Oahu estimates there are currently over 5,000 Muslims living in the State of Hawaii from 42 different countries of different races and cultures, many of which are American-born citizens. Alhamdulillah, we have purchased 688 Kinoole St. #101, Hilo, HI 96720 property. This is not a big property (room size is 649 sq. ft.) and there is a common bathroom (men and women) next door. It will satisfy our immediate needs. We can at least gather and pray there. In the meantime, we keep looking for a Church or a better property for our future Mosque. If we can secure a better place, we aim to sell this property or use it as a rental property. Currently, the Islamic Center of Hawaii is offering Jummah prayer, Tarawih prayer, Social/ Eid Feast gatherings, Iftar gathering, Jobs training/resources, Quran lessons, Muslim Wedding, Muslim Funeral, Moonsighting, Interfaith interactions, etc. services to our community. Please join us Friday at 12.15 pm for Jummah prayer. Khutbah will start at 12.30 pm. Tarawih prayer will start at 8 pm during the month of Ramadan. You can park in the front or backside of this building. There is plenty of customer parking and street parking also available. This place is also wheelchair accessible.
