The Muslim Students' Association is designed to support Muslim students of the Health Science Center at Brooklyn and to present Islam to the Downstate community as a comprehensive way of life. Our meetings, study circles and events are open to all members of the Downstate community. Downstate has 2 prayer spaces; one in the hospital chapel and one in the library basement behind the far shelves. Neither one has any large Jummah, since the hospital next door has a bigger space and crowd, but it is useful if you need a place to pray on your work break. Usually it's hard to coordinate with others during the day so don't be surprised if you're praying alone.
