The mission of MakeSpace is to serve as an inclusive, relevant and transparently-managed hub for the Washington Metropolitan area Muslim community, with a strong focus on youth and young professionals. We aim to help our members grow spiritually, intellectually and professionally. We further aim to help the community develop an American Muslim identity rooted in the values of balance and compassion through educational programs, civic engagement initiatives, community service projects and recreational activities. Physical location is in the Dunya Banquet Hall in Alexandria while we secure a permanent facility.

I'm here at 5:05 pm for Asr prayers but the building front entrance door is locked. This is second time it's happened.

MakeSpace new address is 6082 Franconia Rd. Suite D, Alexandria, VA 22310. This prayer suite is not always open. It's located inside an office building which was locked today around 5 pm ASR time when I stopped here for prayers. I proceeded to offer my prayers at Darul Huda couple of miles down Franconia Road near Springfield Towne Centre at 6666 Commerce Street. Springfield, VA 22150.
