Abu Bakr Mosque

Welcome to the Abu Bakr Jamia Masjid of Southampton, one of the largest Mosques in the south of England. The Masjid was built through the tireless efforts of the Muslims of Southampton, and in particular by members of the Pakistani community who drove the venture forward and who continue to manage the day-to-day running of the Masjid. The Abu Bakr Masjid has four fully trained Imams who lead all the daily Jamaat prayers. The Jummah khutbahs are delivered in English & Urdu on alternate Fridays. The Abu Bakr Masjid accommodates 1,200 worshipers. Women and children are always welcome to every prayer and there is a separate Muslim sister's hall on the upper level which can be accessed from the side entrance through the car park.
