TIA was set up with the following set of guiding principles: to promote interaction and unity among the local Muslims; to promote better understanding and practice of Islam as a way of life; to promote the interests and welfare of the local Muslim community; and to promote friendship and interaction with the local non-Muslims, and facilitate their better understanding of Islam.
