Masjid Imam Al Bukhari

The Islamic Society of Tracy (Imam Bukhari Masjid) was originally established in 2000. Slowly, the community grew and the 1600 SF rental facility is no longer sufficient for our day to day activities. In order to promote and preserve our Islamic tradition and heritage, the Islamic Society of Tracy offers weekly classes in teaching our members and their children the Holy Quran, FIqh, Arabic language, our Islamic traditions, and religious beliefs. Islamic Society of Tracy welcomes all Muslims of this area no matter what their origins and nationalities are to participate in the day to day services and activities of the Masjid.

This is very active community. The masjid is quite small (it is a house converted to a masjid), yet on a huge plot of open land. The last time I was there I heard they are looking for a new locations since the city would not approve them to build a masjid on the current plot of land they have. I wish this community all the best in finding a permanent location where they establish and construct a masjid.

This is a great mosque but this masjid in not Shia, it is Sunni(traditional) .
