Ashton Central Mosque

This is the longest established Mosque in Ashton-under-Lyne. Until the end of September 2011, we were located in a converted old school building on Newton Street, Ashton-under-Lyne. Construction of our new Mosque and Community Centre on Hillgate Street (OL6 9JA) is moreorless complete and we are using the Community Centre as a temporary mosque whilst work on the mosque is completed. Insha'Allah, this should be completed early in 2012.

This newly beautifully built mosque has moved to a new place and name has been changed from Jamia mosque to Ashton Central Mosque.Now it has a big community hall for communal services weddings, funeral,charity,confrences etc.
