We were traveling in that area and went there for Salat al-Zuhr. As we arrived about 15min sooner than azan, its door was locked with a digital locker. after about 15min, someone came and opened the door. He said that people in that area know the code for locker and can enter whenever they want! Any way it is a really clean and good place for praying.

I visited the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier during 1990-1992 when I was a student at Binghamton University. The Mosque appears to have moved to a new location or a new building was constructed. The Friday Sermons were great. Fridays at this Mosque will be valuable for spiritual healing. University Students will love the atmosphere. All types of people attend this mosque so it is better to be cautious when making friends with the mosque attendees.

Alhamdulillah, Imam Kasim is a blessing for the Binghamton Community. He was educated at Al-Azhar University and is currently pursuing his PhD at an American institution. He is brilliant and loves to teach. Although his Juma Khutbahs may be meant for a general audience his one-on-one dialogues blow you away. His knowledge is absolutely impressive - I don't think there is an Islamic scholar/theory/hadith/idea that he hasn't heard of! During Ramadan he leads a 20 rakat taraweeh, and after 8 rakats gives a small sermon on the juz that he is reciting during salah. He also performs Salatul Tasbih upon request. The Masjid facilities are very simple and clean. The top floor is reserved for salah, and the bottom floor is utilized as a community room. The Masjid is segregated, by being divided in half (wall in between) - but ladies no worries... we get a large, comfortable room - no closets! During Ramadan iftars are served every night (meant for those who cannot afford iftar), with a large community iftar on Saturdays. There is also a nice expanding library with a large collection of videos, books, CDs, and more. This Masjid will inshaAllah be expanding soon, due to the increasing numbers of Muslims moving into the area and the need for space (on Eids the Masjid can be very crowded and there is limited parking.)
