To get to the Islamic Center of Puerto Rico, go on Highway 3 East towards Rio Piedras and Carolina, turn left on Rt. 27 North (Barbosa Avenue), then left at second traffic light on Rt. 47 West (Calle Jose de Diego), then turn second right on Calle William Jones, then turn first right on Calle Padre Colón. The mosque is on your left.

I came to this masjid at Dhur time but found it locked so I remembered what one of the previous reviews said about the parking attendant and I went across the street to find the attendant who took me to a store nearby where brother Anwar was. Br Anwar opened the Masjid for me and he was very warm and welcoming, he even gave the code to open some of the other masaajid on the island. The masjid, including the bathrooms, was clean.
The masjid is locating in a working class section of San Juan. The section neighborhood the Masjid is in seems a bit sketchy. The Masjid also seems to be locked at different times so best to either try to call ahead to ensure it's open or visit during the day time.
Overall - a nice masjid to visit in a local area (not touristy and many don't speak English). We visited here March 2012 while vacationing in PR. Stumbled upon it as we saw a sign for Islamic Center parking. It's not the nicest looking area (like San Juan or Fajardo or the really touristy areas), but the people are very warm. I would go during daytime. We met the parking attendant of a lot across the street from masjid who spoke some English, Spanish, and Arabic, as well as the president of the masjid, who extended himself to us and bought us lunch. It was definitely a highlight as to how warm they were.
