High Wycombe Jamia Masjid

34 Jubilee Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Sunni (Traditional)

The Karima Foundation, based in High Wycombe, works on various community projects ranging from education to sports. The High Wycombe Jamia Masjid was built in 1981 and it remains hitherto the largest Muslim institution in the town and surrounding areas. Several years ago the Mosque committee expanded by building satellite masjids in Totteridge and Castlefield, which happen to be heavily populated Muslim areas, thus making attending prayers and functions more convenient for residents of these smaller constituencies. Imam Sahibzada Ghulam Jellani has been leading prayers, teaching and representing the Muslim community of High Wycombe for 20 years. Educated in Pakistan and Egypt, has a wealth of Islamic knowledge and is fluent in Arabic, Urdu and English.
