The Golden Masjid is often referred to as Umm-ul-Masajid (Mother of Masjids), this is because it was the first Masjid in Rochdale, established in mid-1960's. The capacity of the Masjid is 500 people. The Masjid is currently being extended and is in need of money to make sure the momentum of the work resumes swiftfully.
