Also known as the 'Penny Lane' Mosque, the Liverpool Mosque and Islamic Institute was established in 1998 to cater for the needs of Muslims living in the area. In addition to prayers and worship, it provides Islamic education to Muslim children, ages 7 to 15, in an evening school on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
