Downtown Islamic Association (DIA) is an independent, non-profit religious organization, incorporated in 1998 under the Alberta Societies Act. DIA is not affiliated to any political organization in Canada or outside of Canada. The association is the sole owner of the land and the building of Al-Sahaba Mosque, which was formed mainly by a small group of Muslim-Canadians with the generosity of other Muslims in Edmonton.

Not a big message but it's located in a residential area so you get a good number of people coming for the 5 daily prayers Alhamdulillah. The majority of people are Somali but it's mixed crowd. They newly renovated the wudu/washroom area and changed the carpet for Ramadan 2014.

This mosque offers the five daily prayers as well as the Jumu'ah prayer. The Khateeb is really good, but space and parking is tight, so if planning to attend then plan to be there early.
