Madrid's Centro Cultural Islamico is the largest mosque in Europe, a beautiful white marble building that contains a college, ritual bath house, gymnasium, cafe and an Arabic restaurant called Al Zahra. The complex was designed by three Polish architects and is financed by Saudi Arabia. King Juan Carlos I and Prince Salman ben Abdelaziz attended the opening ceremony in 1992. <br />

The masjed is recommended to visit. Friday khutba in arabic and spanish. There is resturant under the masjed with halal food.
It is a large masjid with a predominantly Arab (N. African) population. It's located off of highway M-30. We recommend that you should call before going for Juma'a salat. Their Juma'a services were at 2:30pm, which is later than what we are used to in the United States. The women's section is located on the top floor. There didn't appear to be an elevator, so be prepared if you have seniors with you. It's a long walk to the top floor. The khutbah was in Arabic.
