Door to ground floor was u locked at Maghrib time. Walked in and the carpet was soaked as must have had flood. Found back stairs to main prayer hall. They are constructing - extending masjid. Looks like once it is finished it will be double the size.

The masjid has a pleasant dome on the outside, built on a house that was converted into a mosque. Be sure to take the side entrance on beech ave, since the doors on 149th street are to residences. The wudu areas are adequate.
Mashallah a very beautifle masjid
This masjid has to be one of the most unwelcoming Masjids for a native English speaker. The entire Khutba was in either Persian (Dari) or Pashto. Additionally, the Masjid lacks books/literature in English. Moreoever, the Imam often reads the ENTIRE Khutba (said in Pashto or Dari/Persian) from a document that was previously prepared or written. This can possibly even tune out the Afghan congregant.
