Beautiful exterior, spacious interior, adequate bathrooms, nice wudu area, parking is a bit difficult so you may have to circle the block.
The masjid name is spelt wrong, it should just be masjid Abu Bakr As-Siddique. Anyway, I've been going here since it was built and it's a wonderful masjid. Mostly Afghans go here but they are nice and hospitable and accepting to all backgrounds. It is one of the most cleanest and spacious masjids in NY and the architecture is beautiful. The sermons are given mostly in Farsi but English as well and there is a whole upstairs for women. Alhamdulilah, this place is great.
This masjid, administered mostly by Afghans, had significant ownership problems as there were two factions inside the masjid that were frequently at loggerheads. The dispute even landed in Court. Although some of the problems have subsided, the Masjid has lost many of its congregants. Despite is beautiful design, the Masjid may not be as welcoming for a non-Persian(Dari) speaker since some lectures may not always be in English.
