The Islamic Universal Association was established in 1974 by the late Ayatollah Al-Uzma Golpaygani. The present centre for the Association was purchased with the sole aim of propagating Islam, free of any political activity. The Friday prayers, religious anniversaries and mourning dates are the main functions of I.U.A on the pious side. The main aim of I.U.A. is to attend to the needs and the problems facing the Muslims in the U.K. the Iranian in particular from marriage to death, family counselling, medical advice and fund, educational (teaching the Holy Quran and Farsi language to the children). I.U.A. has founded a public library containing above 10,000 volume of books in various languages and its on the process of purchasing a cemetery in the heart of London. I.U.A. has helped the humanitarian events all over the world such as north-Iran earthquake, refugees from Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghan and Chechnya, etc. The establishment is run by the private budget of the late Ayatollah Golpaygani and the donation of the Muslims mainly in the UK.

Always a good turnout for Friday prayers. Separate ladies entrance to the main hall and prayer room. Sermon said in English, Arabic and Farsi.
