Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines

Today was probably the 3rd or 4th time I performed Jumu'a at this masjid and I have enjoyed every Jumu'a here. The khatibs address the diverse jamaat and not only a certain sector, like in other masaajid where the khutba is in Urdu or some other other language that everybody does not understand. The masjid is also well maintained & the bathrooms & wudhu area is always clean.

Beautiful Mosque under well management. Have plenty of parking spaces, separate space for ladies worshipers, and a have a medium banquet hall in basement. Management need to be considering on some... 1. Need some more shelves at the side windows to keep the holy Quran. The existing shelves are in front or at side walls. Especially in Jummah it is hard to get reach and pick the Quran from front and back shelves. 2. After end of the Jummah prayer or sermon no need to be taking the too much time for announcements. 3. Keep them silence to the Donation collectors' whom they talks loudly the right after the Jumah prayer. 4. Do not allow and permit to any person to sell loose food packets and Drinks.

An excellent if overcrowded masjid, this recently built mosque is already packed to the walls due to the growth of its diverse community. Parking during jumma is the major problem at this mosque but this is being fixed with the current construction of a second parking lot. This mosque is clean and beautiful with space for classes and a party hall in the basement that can be rented out. The sisters area is a balcony over the main prayer hall. The masjid has a hifz program, Quran classes, Sunday School, and annually hosts 2-3 day conferences that attract Muslims from all over Chicagoland.

Beautiful and very clean masjid. Best imam with most beautiful qiraat. Fulltime hifz school too
