This is an impressive masjid. The architecture and the decoration inside the masjid are inspiring. Imam Senad is a local institution in the Chicago Muslim community and a national leader of the Bosnian Muslim community. His khutbas are thoughtful and calm as opposed to vigorous, angry khutbas. If you come early to jumma, you will be rewarded by the excellent Quran recitation of a community elder in the Bosnian/Turkish style. Stay after jumma and you can enjoy a 5 minute dhikr session. If you have ever been to the Balkans or Turkey, you will feel like you are there again if only for a while. The masjid has regular lectures and many interfaith events.
