Masjid Abdul Hamid

This masjid was built in 1932 in the Central part of the island and serves the needs of office workers around Newton and Novena. With a capacity of 300, the masjid, which has retained much of its original structure, offers religious studies twice a week. Recently, a full-time imam (religious teacher) was employed to lead the five prayers in the masjid. It underwent major repair works in 1995.
