If you are not salafi, means if you belief on sahaba ( companions of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), then this place is not for you.

The only salafi masjid in the state of Maryland. This masjid has tazkiyyah from the ulema. classes are given 6 days a week from Quran memorization to women's classes on Sunday's. The masjid is a Beacon of light in Maryland from those who adhere to the sunnah

I was visiting a friend and happened to be in walking distance of this masjid. I attended the jumu'ah service at their new location at 2203 Maryland Avenue. Allah alone knows what is in the hearts of His servants but what I can tell you a few things I saw that left an impression on me. First, I entered and the place was packed wall-to-wall, seemingly nowhere to sit. I parted a curtain and tried to enter but found an uncle in a chair praying tahiyattul masjid who gently placed his hand on me so that I would not cross in front of his sutra. Then a younger brother noticed I had no place to sit so he, recognizing me as older and as a guest, got up and offered me his place. From these instances I was pleased to see that the brothers there appear eager to follow the Sunnah, and Allah knows best. Next, after the salaah the Imam requested that everyone hold tight for two minutes for announcements. In other masaajid, this is the time when people begin talking loudly to each other with no regard for their brothers who are praying sunnah, or when people flood out of the masjid like kids sent to recess. But at this masjid every single brother stood still and silent, respectfully listening to the announcements. After the announcements the brothers spread salaams with great affection and intimacy. Finally, during the announcements the Imam asked for donations for to move into a new building (they could certainly use the space) and for kids school supplies. I am not exaggerating when I say that a solid majority of brothers at that masjid dug into their pockets to give something. I've been to many masaajid whose members are a lot wealthier, ma shaa' Allah, but who didn't give when called upon. May Allah guide us all and maintain us all on His straight path and bring success in this life and the hereafter to the true servants and believers, amin.
