Alsabeel Masjid Noor Al-Islam

In December 2013, Al Sabeel moved from the basement location on Golden Gate to a new location that is a block over at 118 Jones St, San Francisco, California 94102.

basement masjid. Looked pretty decent. Apparently they are moving to a new location soon. Unfortunately they did not update their website and we missed fridays prayer! Located in a dodgy part of the city, lots of vagrants and drug dealers loitering - hey this is the Tenderloin bit of SFO so expected :(

I have been to this masjd many times. I do not like the fact that they give their Jummah Khutbas in Arabic. Also, their wudu facilities are not that great either. That is why I would rather go to the Masjid on Jones St. which is around the block.

I have dropped by Al Sabeel masjid a few times when I am in the area. The masjid is usually always open and very clean. The downside is that the restrooms are sub-par, since the building is old and pretty much like a basement for a larger building. It is also located in the Tenderloin which is not a very good part of the city.
