Masjid Fresno

Masjid Fresno can be found between the cities of Fresno and Clovis. We at Masjid Fresno are very proud of diversity within our congregation. You can find people from may countries gathering here, and enjoy their culture, clothes, and even foods that they bring to share! In adition to serving a large population of Fresno's Muslims, Masjid Fresno is also dedicated to Fresno's student population, as it is across from CSU Fresno. Many times you will see young man or women hurrying across Shaw Avenue on Friday, to come to Juma salat in between their classes. Besides regular Friday prayers, we organize Iftars or dinners every night in Ramadan, the month of fasting. Many people come and visit us during these festive days: interfaith community, city officials, and government representatives. We have to say, though, that our favorite guests are homeless and less fortunate; we feel blessed by the opportunity to help them in the time of need. After Ramadan, we organize Eid prayers on a city level in cooperation with other Masjids in Fresno. We are developing a community center, which will house library, community hall, bigger classrooms and information booths about our religion. By supplementing the center with a bookstore and gift store, the visitor will be able to enjoy a complete experience and understand our culture and religion better.
