Good place to do asadari very good English programs and amazing organization

I have been to idara-e-jaferia several times. It is good facility but not used properly by community. <BR/><BR/> PROS:<BR/> 1. Large facility; Rarely over crowded<BR/> 2. Plenty of parking<BR/> 3. There are events on every occasion<BR/> 4. Board members have some great plans to extend this project.<BR/> 5. Large Play area for kids.<BR/> <BR/><BR/> CONS:<BR/> 1. Dominated by couple families who gather here to hangout. There are more people chatting outside than in building itself at the time of event/prayers.<BR/> 2. No one care to greet new faces, people are into each other.<BR/> 3. This is not a diverse place at all.<BR/> 4. Place is more focused on Azadari/Birth-Death anniversary events than Prayers itself. <BR/> 5. Woman don't stay quit at all even when imam is speaking.<BR/>

I would have to respectfully disagree from Sapkazi's comment below about the Imam of the Masjid. In my opinion he is definitely the key ingredient in making this Masjid / Community Center one of the best in the U.S. Me being one of the "younger" Muslim brother at this mosque, I can say I enjoy some of the modern topics the Imam and other speakers at this Masjid take on. It's refreshing to hear about Islamic topics through a scientific lens, rather than the same old same old at every other Masjid. That's why I enjoy coming here.

Mosque is very excellent but imam of mosque is not very good with aqeeda

This is clearly and excellent masjid, however to clarify - prayers are not offered 5x a day every day. On Saturdays there is a fajr program and it is excellent, and has a nice breakfast too.

I rank this Masjid as Excellent. It is very large and extremely organized and well-run. Offers five times prayers with breakfast served on Saturday morning after Fajr salaat. This Masjid does A LOT for community members and offers tons of inter-faith events for all muslims and religions in the area. This masjid content streams most of its programs online. This is a Shia masjid that is very politically active in the area.

Idara-e-Jaferia is one of the best Islamic Organizations in Maryalnd, USA.
