Azhar Academy Mosque

235 Romford Road, Stratford, Greater London

Sunni (Traditional)

Azhar Academy is located in what was an old church on Romford Road in Newham (East London). It consists of the actual academy, a girl's school, and a mosque. It is a work in progress with construction being done in a piece meal fashion when money is available for a given project. The mosque is largely a male domain with a small sister's section. The mosque is located a few blocks east of University of East London.

Good masjid to pray in: Clean, welcoming and tranquil. One of the better masjids in e.london. Good place for english speakers.

Nice place to pray. Azhar is located a few blocks east of UEL, where I once worked. Despite not being from the dominate demographic, I felt at home. The mosque is clean and and well organized and makes good use of limited space.

i go to azhar academy , and i am a student there . its a way cool school we get to go on trips and stuff , but still we are allowed to prey our salaah , and act like good muslims . i think its a very excellent facility .
