Islamic Information Society of Calgary

207 4th Street NE, Calgary, AB

Sunni (Traditional)

The Islamic Information Society of Calgary (IISC) is a small to medium size masjid that could comfortably fit 100 people on the brothers' side. This masjid is also a library, with books on most, if not all, Islamic topics you can think of. It is run by Imam Said Rageah, a Somali brother. Jum'a services are offered in English, but Halaqas are offered in Somali language on Saturday for sisters, and Sunday for brothers. Very limited parking.

Masha Allah, this is a very good masjid to go to. Imam Said is a very pious man and makes you feel very comfortable when you talk to him. This is the masjid I prefer to go to. The only problem is the limited parking. There are only 3 or 4 spots behind the mosque and 2 or 3 in front, and parking on the street, if you can find it.
