Hajjah Fatimah mosque was built in 1846 by a wealthy businesswoman of the same name, in gratitude for several perilous escapes from danger. The benefactress and her family are buried in a private enclosure in the mosque grounds. Public Transport: From Lavendar MRT walk south on Victoria then east on Jl. Sultan to Beach Rd.
