This is one of my favorite masjids; I used to come here every Friday when I was working in the City. Imam Talib 'Abdur-Rashid knows how to give a good khutbah and the congregants are generally easygoing. My only complaint (which may be all in my head) is that because I'm white I get the vibe that people here are eying me with suspicion that I'm an informant. On the other hand, I am Shi'ah, pray with a clay turbah and did not get any flack or comments while there. I would definitely recommend this as the "go-to" masjid if you are in New York.
