Islamic Society of Vermont

The Islamic Society of Vermont was formed in 1995 in order to expand and improve the masjid, to establish an Islamic School for Muslim children and adults, to build an Islamic Cultural Center and Islamic Library, to provide burial services for Muslims, to acquire land for a cemetery and to maintain it, to conduct Islamic marriages, to carry out religious, charitable, educational, literary, social and other activities pertaining to the realization of an Islamic way of life, to make Islam and Muslims better understood by others, and to promote friendly relations with other religious groups and associations in the State of Vermont.
