The Mission of Masjidul Waritheen is to promote peace, stability, equality, liberty and dignity within the Ummah and within society at large; to implement the law of Al-Islam in all the affairs of the Ummah; to produce and maintain an environment which promotes the development of Islamic character in every individual, and which promotes in every individual the will to obey Allah in accordance with Islamic beliefs; to remove all obstacles to its mission; and to carry the call of Al-Islam to the whole world.

During the time I lived in Oakland, this was my primary spiritual refuge. Always left Friday prayer feeling invigorated. I wish them all the best and will do what I can to help them.

This is a very active community. The masjid offers a variety of services to the community. I heard recently they were having financial problems and might be shutting down. I really hope that is not the case as they are an asset to the community.
