The Community Mosque of Winston-Salem was formally established September 1984. It evolved out of the organizational efforts of the Institute for Islamic Involvement, Inc., an Islamic membership organization dedicated to demonstrating an assertive Muslim involvement in the life of the general community. Five daily prayers, Salatul Jumah, Fre Health Clinic, Food Bank/Hot Meals Distribution, Weekend School.

Excellent mosque. It is a converted church and has a large upstairs praying area. The community here continues to develop and grow. Located next to a family dollar. Plenty of street parking. On site parking is limited. Imam Khalid Griggs is an excellent teacher.

Members of Community Mosque are very welcoming. Jummah Khutbahs by Imam Khalid Griggs are excellent. Sisters are welcome with an area in the Musallah and also a room downstairs. Community Mosque Academy operates a weekend school. For travelers - Masjid is located in a good/safe area and doors are unlocked from Fajar to Isha prayers.
