★★★★★ Assalam Aliekum,
I live around 40 miles away from Lal Qila and we rented Lal Qila to celebrate my son's Quran Hifz Ceremony
The management specially owner was very cooperative to make separate arrangements for ladies , decoration etc.
They serve many variety of food around 25- 30 different types including Chinese ,grill and indo-pak dishes, all the dishes were great in taste warm and fresh specially the grill was always on
we invited around 150-200 guest and all of them were very happy to see the arrangement and enjoyed the food
The owner/management never counted number of guests attended the party blindly accepted the head count when we tell them at the time of payment
it was great feeling to see all the guest happy and give very comments about the party and food
Al hamdulillah it was worth driving 40 mile to rent Lal Qila and organize the party and I recommend all to try once
Note : They serve Halaal Zabiha food

★★★★★ I just came back with my family from an iftar last night and I must say that it's some of the best Pakistani/Indian food I've had!! I was surprised and impressed because we didn't like it the last time we went but we found that there is new owernship and they have really changed the place in terms of the appearance and the quality of food! The new oweners were friendly and asked people how the food was and how they could improve.
They had about 8 rows of food and a separate BBQ Grill section where the chicken tandoori, bihari chicken, and Seekh kebab's were made along with the fresh naans. There is also about 2 row's worth of Chinese food which are also really good especially the chicken kang pao.
It's really hard to find a halal restaurant that serves American food and this place has the best fried chicken I have had. My family loved the chicken biryani, haleem and saag, and of course the grill that I mentioned. They also give jugs of water and soda upon request which is super nice that it's not charged.
We're going again next week as its a great place for Iftar since they have a large prayer area Posted on July 3, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have been in Washington metropolitan and baltimore area for almost 25 yrs, I have seen lots of restaurants opining and closing.
We went there today, and we will never return again. First of all food is ridiculous, taste less and expensive and then very nasty and rude management.
My kids were standing near serving area and they were not even touching the food, the guy named Tayyab came and yelled at my 6 year old daughter, telling her not to put her finger in the food. Then she started crying, I asked her if she touching the food with her finger,my daughter denied, my kids don't lie, I was trying to calm my daughter down, the guy tayyab came back to argue with me, when I questioned him and told him to be polite with kids, he told me to leave the place. We went to that place to have some good time, not to get insulted. We did not even finish our food and we had to leave. I will get in touch with my bank for refund. ( This was today's incident )
We went to that place about a month ago, there was some party going on and it was busy, we asked the girl with glasses at front if she could help us, she did not pay any attention to us, she was busy eating Jalabi grabbing it with her hands ( She was touching it with her hands ) and flirting with a guy.
Restaurant employ ( The skinny girl with glasses ) can touch food with her hands and no one says nothing to her, But my 6 rear old shy daughter who wasn't even touching food but got yelled.
I will never ever go there again and I do not recommend that place to any one. Posted on June 7, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ Wide variety of food, but not good quality food. There is nothing worth venturing out to eat. Customer service is not great. Typical desi management. I would only return here if someone is having their event here and I'm invited as a guest. Even then, I would eat before coming. Posted on January 3, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Are you super hungry and jonesing (no pun intended) for some Desi food? Then come here. 85% of the time the food is awesome, which is much better than buffets like golden corral or O's place (RIP). Plus its halal. What more do you want?
I can see how some people may have seen roaches there. But I never have. And for those of you complaining abt hygiene of Desi restaurants, how many times have you sprayed water all over the bathroom, or neglected to pick up toilet paper you dropped, or ate 10 seekh kabobs and then unloaded in the restaurant toilet. ★☆☆☆☆ Bad, filthy, dirty place. Roaches are very common specially on the tables with the wall.
Poor customer service.
Reheated food except BBQ which is the reason for me to rate 1/5, otherwise 0 Posted on March 30, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ In a low end mall in a average looking restaurant I experienced a very full tasty buffet. Wide variety of Paki-Indo-Chineese dishes and meats. If ur around the Baltimore area and hungry def give this place a try! Posted on March 3, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I visited Lal Qila two weeks ago with my friends. We didn't know the type of its cuisine, but the modern exterior sounded promiscuous to me. Unfortunately I proved myself wrong. The cuisine had nothing to be proud of. The variety of dishes was not enough to choose only from them, the starters quantity was small and the main dishes were expensive.Food tested old and reheated. Meat was rubbery and tasted like it was reheated over and over and over
until it landed in our plates :-(. The personnel was far too arrogant and inattentive to the needs of the customers. Saw rat pass by my table and couple of flies on my table. Sorry but no more Lal Qila for me. Posted on January 20, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Food is always old and reheated nothing new. Don't expect fancy food or fresh. The only thing fresh is the roti. Also, I saw RATS on the same floor as the food and where people sit and eat. That was the last time I've ever been there. They lost my respect and money. Posted on January 19, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Saturday Lunch not bad fresh Kabobs, Naans, Chinese & Desi food Enjoyed it
will recommend to all Posted on January 16, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Reheated food ... more like leftover food.. used to go there alot before... but since the quality has dropped and they are serving rotten food... cant be poisoined with the food they are serving now. Posted on January 10, 2014 |

|
★☆☆☆☆ Place is quite filthy
Most of the food is old and reheated (looks like a few days old) some of the Asian dishes and fried chicken - meat tasted rotten
Can’t tell much about the indo/pak dishes, they are extra spiced, so hard to tell how old they are.
Was an enjoyable place to eat halal Asian food, a year ago, I used to take my family and kids, don’t anymore, afraid someone might get sick from the food

★★★☆☆ It was decent- not the best desi food I've had. Had good verity for the money, however not the best good quality. Being a biryani lover their biryani was an insult to the dish. Posted on October 8, 2013 |

★★★★★ We at this place for Sunday Lunch Buffet. This is a huge restaurant with over 60 items. Fresh Kababs, Nihari, Biryani, Paya, Numerous Chinese dishes. We really like the food taste as well. Food was fresh and quite decent in taste. Service was good as well. We were disappointed to not see a whole a lot of people there to support such a good Muslim Establishment. They are doing a good job. We live in Pittsburgh where there are no such option like this. We plan to return in future inshaAllah. Posted on May 27, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Quantity, but def. not quality. Prices should be lower for such food. However I have found out from local tablighi brothers that their chicken is indeed hand slaughtered. For that I give it a 4 instead of 3. Allah knows best. They definitely need to consult somebody on how to improve the food because this place has potential. Posted on February 18, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I agree with the previous two ratings. Good quantity. We loved the Indian Pakistani section. And the
Our last visit a few days we saw a roach wandering on the wall next to our table and one of the guys walking with a big can of raid around the food isles! I asked to talk to the manager in vain. When I talked to the lady at the front desk she apologized saying they had pest control a few days before. Posted on September 3, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ 100+ Dishes!
Quality isn't all that, but Quantity is there!
Food from Sushi to Tandoor Chicken to Kabobs to Wings to All sorts of Chicken to Biryaani to Seafood to so many types of food.
Again, they have quantity....not necessarily quality
Its a buffet. Its decent price Posted on August 23, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I've been to this place few times now. I will start with bad news first. Ambiance is nothing to write home about and it looks like just a typical Chinese Grand Buffets place. Mall this place is in is very Ghetto so go their on your own risk and be very careful.
Now the good news ;-) They have plenty of parking, easy to find, seating is abundant, staff is very courteous and best of all FOOD is great. If you are craving for Indian/Pakistani food they have a huge selection and pretty much all of it and it is very tasty. My first favorite section is the Chat section followed by Kabab Section where they wide variety of kababs like tika, chicken tika, sheekh kabab etc. Second section is curries like Chicken curry, haleem, Nihari, Goat curry etc along with halwa puri, choley etc. Honestly speaking I have never been able to pass through these sections to try Chinese, Japanese and American sections :-) I have always received great service by owners and the staff. This is truly one of my favorite restaurants in DMV. Just go and enjoy. Posted on July 2, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I've been to this place a few times and liked their food. The buffet has a wide variety of items, more than 100 items I think. Besides the typical desi food, they also have chinese food, seafood, sushi, and a lot of desserts including ice cream. The bbq is great and the parathas remind me of parathas from Pakistan, they are that good. This restaurant is a good addition to Halal restaurants in the greater Baltimore area. ★★★☆☆ I was so excited when I saw this restaurant advertising as Tepanyaki grill. I called the restaurant to confirm that it is tepanyaki grill and the staff said "yes".
I was so disapointed to see that it another one like O's Place. Indian/Chinese and other kind of food with one tepanyaki chicken dish. The food are nice. However, I feel the restaurant shoul deliver what they advertised!!!
Many people went to the restaurant for "TEPANYAKI GRILLED FOOD". Where can you get a Halal Tepanyaki food?? Of course muslims would flock to the restaurant, thinking they would get Tepanyaki grilled food.
I cannot say for other people but I feel cheated, even though the food that were there are nice and delicious. Posted on November 19, 2011 |

★★★★★ his new place Just opened Friday(10/14/2011) It is a HALAL Chinese/Pakistani, Indian, Afghan Buffet/Cuisine. And can I say it is AMAZING! Lal Qila is the best place for Middle Eastern/Chinese Buffet! Best part it is Halal! I live in Virginia and I went to Baltimore with couple of my cousin's and visited the Harbor. So then afterwards we all were hungry and the plan was to go to O's Place, which recently opened in Security Blvd Mall. And so we went there. When we got there we saw a big new sign that said Lal Qila Halal Chinese and Pakistani Cuisine. So we checked it out first and the Place is Huge! Lal Qila has at least 7-10 Lanes of Buffet foods stacked and steaming. So then we checked out O's Place which is right above it, second floor. O's Place had dull food laying around and there wasn't even enough space to eat. We decided to eat Lal Qila and Man can I say the food was Extraordinary! The food quality was Superb and the Management was excellent. Prices are great to for soo much food that is offered. My cousins and I were one of the lucky people to try this place on its opening day. We all had a blast eating here and a great feeling to. The price for the place is perfect.(9.95 for Dinner Buffet, Lunch Buffet 8.00, and Carry out with 5 items of your choice for 6.00). If you are hungry or If you want good food around Baltimore, LAL QILA is where its at. Def. coming back. Check out the pictures I have added as well Posted on October 15, 2011 |
