★☆☆☆☆ Pathetic food quality. The standard has gone down drastically. There is no value for money. I ordered soup to start with and it took them 35 min just to bring the soup. I regret that I came here. There are much better options in the same vicinity with much less price and very good food taste.
My recommendation don't even think of going there and wasting your hard earned money
After reading the response on my review from owner. It's affirmative that rather than realizing the awful service they have he is kind of showing attitude as if he is serving free food to everyone. The experience I had is more or similar to some other customers who visited couple of months ago.
No wonder we have long que on eddie's wok and roll (much cheaper and really good food)and this restaurant seems to be empty all the time.
Remember customer experience is everything in restaurant business. All customer expect is good service and value for money. Owners of this restaurant seems to lag basics of it. Posted on October 14, 2018 |

★★★★☆ Good, pricey food and order always ready on time. Hakka noodles are good, manchurian rice is a NO-GO. Some dishes better than others. Other places just as good if not better in comparison to food just that this one is close to us. Posted on April 24, 2014 |

NR As others have said, very pricy. I don't have a problem with a resturant being pricey if the food is good, however i was very disappointed with the taste. I will not be returning to this place. Posted on April 23, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Been to this place a few times in the last few years (since 2011) but never got to writing a review. Here goes ...
Went there today and I believe the owners have changed. No issues there - were nice before and still nice people. However beware that the menu has changed - I found out when the Chicken Singapore noodles that I ordered had pineapples in it! Not a big fan of that and frankly, I have not seen pineapples anywhere else in Singapore noodles.
Their Manchurian chicken and Manchurian rice is decent.
Compared to other Hakka places in GTA, this one is a bit below par. Also, these guys are very stingy with the chicken in their rice/noodle dishes - it's like a treasure hunt finding pieces of chicken. At this point, I will probably not return and opt for the other Hakka places around. Posted on April 22, 2014 |

★★★★★ Been to this place several times. Delicious food and made fresh to order. Pickup orders are always ready at the time given. Friendly and courteous staff.
Definitely a repeat. Posted on October 22, 2013 |

★★★★★ Asalam u alaikum, just a response to some of the comments posted. FOr a fact this is probably one of the few places that are actually 100% halal. they dont serve any alcohol their meat and poultry are all from hma certified places. Many other restaurants serve halal meat but use lard to deep fry all their items. I have actually seen their delivery invoices and they only use vegetable oil which only lasts like 2 days where as lard lasts weeks. The main reason they go throught his is because the owner is a really nice muslim.
I confirmed with the owner and it is the same ownership for the past 9 years.
noe for my review. I love their food, compared to many other places i find it comparitvely cheap. you can eat here for as low as 7/head to as expensive as you would like to eat. they have a dragon crispy chicken which is amazing. there are not many chinese restaurants in the Gta that are halal in all aspects, but compared to the ones that are i beleive hot and sour has way more flavour. ★★☆☆☆ high prices and not as tasty as it use to be. guys, I fail to see the premium charged Posted on April 23, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ I don’t know if the owner have changed or they have hired new staff, the husband and wife team running the restaurant today they were so rude that we had to get up and leave. (there is no shortage of HALAL restaurants in Mississauga) Posted on April 9, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ I've tried the hot and sour soup (which is excellent) and the manchurian noodles and szechuan fried rice ( which is ok). Prices are a bit high for the type of food, seeing alot of restaurants make the same food for less price. the owner is a very nice man though. Posted on February 28, 2012 |

★★★★★ I will agree that the food is not what it used to be but it's still VERY good.
They've tried improving the atmosphere. Posted on September 15, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ Over priced and so so service. Food is mediocre at best. Not what it used to be. Posted on June 9, 2011 |

★★★★☆ My answer to desi people who wonder if there is a really good chinese place outside Pakistan: Go to this place! Great food. We tried hot & sour soup, Chicken fried rice, chicken chilli & strips/fries and everything was way above average. Highly recommended!!! Posted on January 8, 2011 |

★★★★★ the food was awsome said my son
our whole family liked it and we are definently going to return
the prices are perfect comparing to the quantity of meat they give it is a realy clean place and the best thing is it is owned by muslims and we have verified their meat that it is 100% hallal Posted on February 14, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Went there last weekend, food was average. Prices were very high and portions were small. I found the food was too desi if you know what I mean. Posted on March 30, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Great Hakka food, love their Hot and Sour soup!!! Decent ambiance, a tad bit pricey Posted on January 10, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ I would have to say the Hakka style food is probably the best in the GTA, a true Muslim restaurant, the but the prices are way too high compared to others. Posted on December 13, 2008 |

|
★★★★☆ Although the prices are not the best, this place is still a good place to go. Most hakka chinese places say they are halal but lie. This place is owned by muslims and there is no alcohol served. I like this restaurant! Posted on October 24, 2008 |

★★☆☆☆ we were disappointed coming from the US friends told us to go here for dinner. Honestly, I agree with halalallover. food did not reflect Hakka style. Quite pricey. not very tasty either. I did like their shrimp pakoras and chicken corn soup though. will not visit again since there are so many alternatives in the Toronto area. Posted on July 22, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ Descent food but too expensive. Posted on December 13, 2007 |
|
|
★★☆☆☆ Look the food is good but what ruins it is the price, WAY TO EXPENSIVE!!! 11 to 13 bucks a dish plus 3 bucks for plain rice!!!
Honestly 11 to 13 bucks would be fine if the dishes where bigger so it can serve more people.
Halal restaurants got to compete with all the regular restaurants. Chinese restaurants charge 6 to 9 bucks a dish. Honestly this restaurant is in a little plaza next to max! Lol not on bay st or soemthing. Please be fair and be generous and u will gain more. Posted on November 29, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ No offences to this place's ardent fans but this place is not VFM (Value For Money) at all. I think people who like this place food must also visit other places, specially in Scarborough - the best place is Lim Garden at Pharmacy and Sheppard which is most excellent place quality and quantity and a complete VFM. Hot & Sour lady was friendly but quantity served was very poor. In lunch, a medium size plate, half filled with rice so the quantity of main dish is reduced. Also, no offences to our brothers who are world renowned cooks but chinese food the Hakka style is only made great by the Chinese people and not everybody, so Hot and Sour needs to get an authentic Hakka style, schezuan cook to get the authentic quality as I said not everybody can cook. Needs to improve taste and quantity with money charged, thats horrible Posted on October 24, 2007 |

★★★★★ Totally recommend this to everyone. Best Chinese/Desi food in Mississauga, also very clean and has a friendly staff.
Special American Chopsuey, Crispy Chili Beef and also Hot and Sour Soup <--- Must try, we always get those. Posted on April 12, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ Okay, heres a few things desi people running hakka/desi-chinese restaurants need to know. - Get rid of the indian music. - Please control your prices a bit. - Your foods lean towards more desi than chinese. Customers are paying these exorbitant prices to eat chinese food with a desi flavour, NOT desi food with a chinese flavour. - Apart from that, its great to have a desi-chinese place that does not serve alcohol. Thanks. This goes for both Hot n Sour and Salt n Pepper (the two halal hakka joints in mississauga owned and operated by desis). Posted on March 16, 2007 |

★★★★★ we went there last week best chinese food we ever had! I've tried a lot of restaurants this was the best full stop! I would definetly reccomend this to everyone Posted on January 6, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ The food is excellent but the service is very slow. If they can get a few more servers working on the weekend, their service would improve as well!!! Posted on November 11, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Don't know about eating in, because the place is really small, but for take-out, the food I've tried so far is awesome! Been back three times in one month, and slowly working towards trying everything on the menu. Posted on November 4, 2006 |
