★★★★★ Delicious Hyderabadi Biryani, Haleem and Chicken Tikka. We go back all the time. I will highly recommend this restaurant for food. Posted on August 13, 2018 |

★★★☆☆ Nothing fancy in here but decent food. A little over priced. Sultan bhai is really cool though. Posted on November 10, 2014 |

★★★★★ Food is awesome and prices are low compare to other near by restaurants.
They may need to improve interior but the food taste overcome it and it always makes me visit them once or twice in a week. Posted on August 29, 2014 |

★★★★★ Without doubt 100% authentic tasty Hyderabadi food in Schaumburg. The owner lady has been in cooking business for last decade. Posted on July 6, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Their lunch special is not bad however they are unprofessional and seem unorganized - the gentleman who is on the counter is rude! Besides that, they take a very long time to get the food out especially during lunch hours! Posted on July 24, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ this restaurant needs an overhaul!!! food was ok, very messy.. not a good place to take families may be carry out or bachelors hang out!! Posted on May 22, 2012 |

★★★★★ My family went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and found the decor to be rather basic, or nonexistent. However, the food quality was great and inexpensive. The portion sizes were reasonable. We had chicken 65, kabobs, biryani, naan, among other dishes. I'm not sure how well they do with Afghani or Mediterranean food, but I certainly can't fault their desi food.
I don't even recall seeing Afghani or Mediterranean food on their menu, so they may have changed their focus. Posted on April 20, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Worst place to eat or carry out. Posted on March 4, 2012 |

★★★★☆ As an Afghani kabob place, this restaurant was over-priced for the food, though it was tasty. The new owners focus on Indian (traditional Hyderabadi) offerings, and do it well. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is comfy. Go by, you won't be disappointed. Posted on January 24, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I and my wife went there about a month ago. The environment was worst then small roadside restaurants in Pakistan. They do not have any professional chef or cook. I am pretty sure it was the owner's wife who was standing behind the counter/kitchen cooking(or trying to cook). His little kids were serving and ofcourse those kids don't know anything about the customer service. So instead of comparing this restaurant to another restaurants i would rather compare it with a private kitchen only way shabby and dirty. can't believe the health department never cracks down on these guys. The food was awful and top of that these guys don't know how to serve. so this is currently No. 1 on my list of worst restaurants. Posted on October 2, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ 1. Bad food.
2. Unhygenic.
3. Poor service.
4. Noisy.
5. Unprofessional.
6. Cheap.
7. Hole in the Wall.
Now the details. My husband and I just got back from a very "awkward" dinner experience we've had in our lives. I was boiling with rage all the way home and couldn't wait to get on Yelp to write a realistic review on these guys.
The food sucked big time. The kebabs were chewy and the falafel sandwich is nothing but a few pieces of veggie kebab and large cut onions. No sauces inside! The mango lassi we ordered had traces of charcoal inside. I took it to the front counter and he said, "Oh, it's just ice." I demanded it to be replaced with a new one.
There were literally 7 people on the front counter, half of whom were playing computer games on their laptops! They seemed to be brothers and sisters. It just seemed like a bunch of highschool dropouts have started this restaurant. The whole time they were lallygagging and being very loud when guests were still in the restaurant eating their dinner. They were noisier than anybody else.
It was barely 8 p.m., and my husband and I were the only guests in the restaurant. I couldn't believe my eyes when their cleaning guy started his chores WHILE WE WERE STILL NOT FINISHED EATING! He started picking up the empy chairs and turning them over the table and cleaning the tables around. Then lo! He pulls out his bucket of water and mop and starts scrubbing the floor, spreading the "lovely" smell of pine cleaner all around the room!
By the way, when I went to get my mango lassi replaced, I took a quick glance inside the kitchen and, trust me! You wouldn't wanna eat at that place EVER again! It was filthier than the streets outside. I am not even kidding!
The worst? They didn't even present us a receipt. All of their business is done in cash it seems. They wrote down the price on a 8x11 blank paper and gave it to us! LOL! That was their version of a receipt!
These guys use CHEAP, and I mean cheap silverware, napkins, straws and cups. They'd break if you held them with two hands! LOL! Honest!
And also, considering all this, Pita Kabobz is the priciest hole in the wall I've ever seen. A kebab platter was $25 and all we got is 6 pieces of hard cooked crap. My veggie falafel was $5. A five year old could've made that at home for less than a dollar. Our bill was for $35 and they blatently added $18 for tax!
The bottom line is, we WOULD NOT recommend anybody at this place, which is a literal hole in the wall! The worst eating experience I've EVER had. I would rather go to a roadside food stall than spend my money here. These people are very unprofessional and should close that place down. I know for sure that they're not gonna last for long.
Good luck! Posted on March 14, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Went there today and ordered their $6 lunch special - chappli kabab, shish kabab and rice. O man what a mess - I was the only one there at that time and they took like 20 minutes. The taste was bad to say the least. Some one correctly pointed out in previous comments that they use the same seasoning for all kind of kababs. So whatever you order, the taste is the same. And I must say, it is BAD - no exaggeration - will never go there. Posted on February 23, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I went with a friend and got one of the combo entrees that come with 3 types of kabobs and rice. Also got a side of hummus. The combo entree was enough for 2 people.
The kabobs were excellent! Make sure you tell them if you can't handle spicy. The rice was so-so but the kabobs definitely made it worthwhile for me.
The decor is nicer than most such restaurants. Spacious, airy, and the tables/chairs were in good shape.
I will definitely be going here again. Posted on January 12, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Kabob names are different in the menu but they use the same seasoning and you will taste same. Sometimes you will receive chunks of grilled fat instead of meat. DISGUSTING! UNHEALTHY! Biryani is horrible, no masala no nothing except rice and oil. Should learn how to cook Biryani before opening the restaurant. We paid $8.00 for biryani and got couple of small pieces of lamb and rice mixed with oil. We were so angry. Posted on November 10, 2010 |

★★★★★ Pita & Kabobz is conveniently located right where I live, I have tried a lot of different items on their menu and the food is great. If you looking for great food with different type of India, Pakistani, Afghani kabobs this is the place to go. Very reasonable prices and fast service as well. Most of all it is Zabiha Halal with the restuarant owned by known muslims. Posted on November 8, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ I came here couple days ago, I ordered the chicken kabob plate. The chicken was ok, but they were so tiny for seven dollars worth. It came with couple leaves of lettuce, 2 tomato slices, chutny, and rice. Personally, I would rather go to BBQ tonight for the naan and kabobs...waayyy better food... Posted on October 19, 2010 |
