★★★★★ Located in a third string mall off Rockville PIke, Amina Thai is a completely zabihah, alcohol-free restaurant run by a Thai family. There's enough seating for probably around 30 people, but you might want to call ahead for reservations. The parking spots are tight, best bring the daily beater and leave the 2011 Mazda RX-8 R3 in Velocity Red Mica with the BBS 19" gunmetal forged alloys at home.
This author tried the restaurant's recommended special Kaprow Fried Rice -- fried rice with chicken (or beef or tofu) with vegetables ($12) and a spicy, heady punch from the Thai bird's eye chiles. The Thai iced tea ($3) was the standardized product, including the addition of too much ice and not enough tea. This restaurant, admittedly after just one critical visit by this author, earns 5/5 stars for its quality, cleanliness, service, and because Thai food.
Aspirational Thai cooks would do well to try Simple Thai by Leela Punyaratabandhu (name cut and pasted), and gain an appreciation of the mastery behind such a simple but fantastic dish. Posted on June 10, 2018 |

★☆☆☆☆ that working hours are not correct. They don’t open any time if they don’t want to .. so call and check before come in. I’m coming all the way from Fairfax and they closed . That’s waste of time . Posted on May 14, 2018 |

★★★★★ I was on a security detail for one of the politician from a foreign country who requested to have a dinner at this place. We had about 30 people in our group yet the owner was able to work out with us during the normal security procedure which includes having a k9 on site. The next day, I along with couple of other Muslim friends went back to this place and ordered some rice noodles. Believe it or not, I travel around the world all the time but this place has the best taste. The place can be a little better but the food and service is incredible Posted on October 29, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ The quality of the meat they use is really good, it's fresh & tastes great. Some of the other ingredients may not be as fresh & tasty, so if you just want to eat meat, this is not a bad place to go. Posted on April 9, 2016 |

★★★★★ Great food... Environment looks very Islamic. Owners are good too. Posted on October 6, 2015 |

★★★★☆ I love Thai food and finding halal Thai is not easy. I grew up with Thai food, worked in a Thai restaurant during high school and college, and lived in Los Angeles for a while surrounded by really great Thai food. I'll be honest though. While I love great Thai food, I will sometimes settle for okay Thai food, because it's just a home-y flavor to me. I'll eat vegetarian Thai food from other restaurants and still be fairly satisfied.
So I'll say, Amina, is good Thai food, but it's not mind-blowing. The service is okay and the owner, a bit curt, but it is one of the only Thai options in the area (though there are some fusion places in the area that are NOT good). Will I go there again? Of course! It's the only place to get Thai beef salad and any non-tofu, non-seafood Thai food in the area. And I do love me some Thai food. Posted on March 13, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ EDIT - AS OF THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS!!
So, below, you will see my original rating. Unfortunately, the service has gotten extremely bad the past couple of years. I know the owners personally, and gave them many chances to fix this issue, but it keeps getting worse. This used to be a great establishment, but it isn't anymore. Unless they drastically change their service, I will not return again.
Former review________________
Been here quite a bit. I know the family who owns it; nice family and good muslims.
If you want halal Thai food, this is the only place. Yet, for a monopoly, their service and food is pretty good. Food is hot, fresh and full of taste. There are many options on the menu (I personally like the noodles), and you can customize the dish's spiciness etc.
Would recommend to everyone to start off with the Pad Thai or Pad ki mao. They are my favorites.
The restaurant is not that big, but clean and cozy. Posted on October 18, 2014 |

★★★★★ Best thai food I ever had in my life. Extremely clean place with very friendly owners. Satay and green curry with chicken were delicious. Cannot wait to go back and try some other options. Posted on April 3, 2014 |

★★★★★ mashaAllah! one of the cleanest halal establishments in the area. Th food was great and the service was prompt and attentive. we went before the evening rush and received first class service and food. We ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The portions were enough to leave more than satisfied. The thai iced tea was great, and satay skewers were an excellent appetizer. The spring rolls were a little small, but the large entrees more than made up for it. We will definitely return insha'Allah ... Posted on March 4, 2014 |

★★★★☆ The food is good. The place is clean and the service is not bad, compare to other similar restaurants Posted on January 1, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Clean restaurant with very friendly staff. The restaurant attracts both Muslims and non-Muslims equally. Chicken Panang Curry is my favorite. Prices are a bit high, but portions are big. Similar to other reviewers, not the best Thai food, but certainly good. Posted on December 31, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ its okay thai food, not the best i have had but not bad. The slogan of the best thai halal in the area is probably true since your probably only going to find only one :) All-in-all, not bad... not special either. Posted on September 9, 2013 |

★★★★★ Amina Thai's food is always amazing. The restaurant is back to its good ol ways and my entire food experience here is spectacular. Whenever there's a great occasion to celebrate, this is the place I think of! Posted on July 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ This is my favorite restaurant in Maryland. Period. The food is absolutely delicious and they are very consistent and accommodating. My favorite dishes are the Pad Kee Mao and the Pad Kaprow. Their thai iced tea is also some of the best I've had. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Posted on July 13, 2013 |

★★★★★ great place, good food, very family friendly. we were able to meet amina herself. we definitely plan to come back. They plan to change the name back to Amina Thai. Posted on April 28, 2013 |

★★★★★ The atmosphere is colorful, the service is cheerful and prompt, and the food is delicious. The restaurant offers halal meat that is all-natural, humanely raised, with no antibiotics or growth-hormone added. The quality of the food is great, and my favorite is the Pad Se Ew. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Posted on April 12, 2013 |

|
★★★★☆ I love the fact that they have an all Muslim Thai staff now. However, their menu options have dropped significantly since they rebranded. The spring rolls are much smaller. Nevertheless, its still a treat to go there. Posted on April 9, 2013 |

★★★★★ Awesome food. Portions a bit small. Posted on February 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ Decent place, soothing ambiance, food is great. recommended for a fine dining. desserts are not recommended. Service is fine and the place is clean. entrees are recommended more than the noodles. Posted on October 20, 2012 |

★★★★☆ We really enjoyed most of the dishes that we ordered here like the Panang curry, Green Curry, and the Pad Kee Maw noodles. The Yum Nua appetizer was a little sour and the thai iced tea was definitely burned (locals tell me that this is usually amazing so I would try it again if I come back) - these are what drop it to a 4 star for me but overall it was a very good experience - service was fast and friendly. ★★★★★ Brothers and sisters,
THIS IS 100% HALAL RESTAURANT and DELICIOUS RESTAURANT.
The owner is a real muslim he always attend Congretional Fajr prayer at Muslim Community Center (MCC) 15200 New Hampshire Silver Spring Maryland, and I always meet him almost everyday.
Please come and try it. Posted on September 11, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I dont know the name of the dish. It was a steak salad, it was so flavorful.
Also- they were really thick, wide noodles. So tasty. Other than that got a few curry dishes, but I was not into the peanut, ginger taste, so I wont judge. Which is why those two dishes were perfect for me.
I havent had Thai food before so this was a great treat! Posted on September 6, 2012 |

NR Cozy environment! I wasn't expecting this place to be so nice. The food was 4 star out of 5 just because the chicken tasted little dry. Overall 5 stars for amazing place. Posted on March 17, 2012 |

★★★★★ Excellent Thai food, literally everything on their menu is great! Panang Curry, Satay Chicken, Pad Kaprow are good! Posted on February 1, 2012 |

★★★★★ Great food. I tried pad kee mao and loved it. The soup was a little sour for me but the menu said it clearly that it would be sour. I liked the taste of what others ordered at the table as well after I tried a spoon from different entrées. Posted on October 20, 2011 |

★★★★★ I've been here a trillion times and it's good EVERY single time! It's halal thai food, how can you resist? Try their beef (Nua Pik Phao) for sure...as well as their thai iced tea! Great service, food comes out quick, and a very clean place! Posted on August 3, 2011 |

★★★★★ Excellent restaurant. The green curry is really hood. Last time I went I tried the basil fish and it is phenomenal. It literally melts in your mouth. the fried banana is excellent as well. Posted on June 21, 2011 |

★★★★★ I've been to Amina Thai on several occasions and never been disappointed. The food is fresh and tasty, the place is cosy, and service is prompt - they have all the ingredients for a good restaurant. I have recommended Amina Thai to visiting family and they have always thanked me for my recommendation. I give Amina Thai an A++. Posted on March 25, 2011 |

★★★★★ Great food and great customer service... what to say more.. I ate at Amina Thai in December 2007 and again in March 2011...The quality is still great... good down-to-earth and nice people.. Posted on March 11, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Environment was great and staff were friendly. Food was ok, I don't know why my brother liked it. The lamb smelled. The soup was bad. There was one chicken-rice dish that my wife and I liked. Posted on November 6, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ The food was average, nothing special. Tried rice noodles. I would like to try other dishes though. Posted on October 23, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ Sadly, I have to agree with the review below. My two-star rating is generous. I went to Amina Thai with my father when he was visiting the area and had very high expectations for it based on all of the reviews here. Perhaps their quality deteriorated substantially or we just caught them on a bad weekend, but the food was very subpar. We ordered the pad kaprow and pad cashew nuts (chicken). Both came out in literally (I do not exaggerate) no more than 4 minutes. That was warning sign #1. Clearly, the food had just been microwaved. The dishes looked exactly the same except for different vegetables/nuts in each. Also, the chicken tasted old and stale and even looked like it was a few days old. The presentation was horrible, as it was just chicken with some brownish water at the bottom of the dish. Sadly, it wasn't a very positive impression for my dad. Posted on October 21, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ We were visiting DC and decided to have dinner at Amina Thai Kitchen. Only the Satay chicken in the appetizer was decent. The entres were all well below acceptable. We ordered 4 different types of chicken entres and all were very poor. Two of the 4 dishes were smelly and not very well prepared. It was very disappointing since we had come all the way from NJ to visit the resturant after seen such a good rating. The food was expensive compared to the serving. Bathrooms were very clean. Customer service was Ok. Posted on October 8, 2010 |

|
★★★★★ I don't think there is much left to say after all the reviews. This is my favorite place to eat in the DC area hands down. Out of all their great-tasting food items, Pad Si-Uw Chicken is the best in my opinion. Posted on August 26, 2010 |

★★★★★ AoA, this is one of the best halal restaurant in DC area. We love Thai cuisine and this one serves the best Thai food we ever tasted. Strongly recommen.

★★★★★ Amazing food. Amazing service. Very polite and the place us super clean. The prices are also very reasonable and the majority of entres are under $11. Posted on December 21, 2009 |

★★★★★ good food I had shrimp panang! BEST DESSERT I EVER HAD! I ordered their home-made coconut icecream with fried banana wontons .. perfect combination in the world, could eat their dessert forever!!! Posted on September 17, 2009 |

|
★★★★☆ I love thai food and I was a little wary that this place would not be authentic but the food is definitely very delicious. In terms of quality, though, I have had one or two experiences where the food was cold and it seemed like it was not freshly made and had just been heated up (that too, not well) so that was a little disappointing. All in all, they do a pretty good job though. In terms of service, the owner/staff can sometimes be a little abrupt/rude but I think that is just the way they are and they're not meaning to be short-tempered towards a specific patron. ★★★★★ This place is amazing! Very clean, great food, awesome service!! Even non-Muslims go there - which is always a good indicator if the place is any good or not. :-) Always take out of town guests here and they love it! Posted on August 23, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Food is tasty. You would like if you like chinese food. If not big fan of thai/chinese food then stay away but no harm in trying once Posted on August 13, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Don't get me wrong: This place is good. It is very clean and it is operated by a very friendly, Muslim staff. However, i had a baseline to compare the foood when I entered Amina thai; and it is the Sala Thai restaurant in Fremont, CA. Since i used to live in Fremont, and went to Sala Thai once a week, I couldn't help but use my experience there and base my dining experience at Amina's upon it. Bottom line: A great alternative in the DC metro area. In fact, If i'm not mistaken, it may the ONLY Halal Thai option in the area. We had the Satay, Panang and the drunken noodles. It was Good, but I somehow wish I was back in the bay, at least when I'm in the mood for Halal Thai. However, you know I'll still return back just because the food is not bad and the owners seem like very genuine Muslims. That alone deserves business! Posted on August 8, 2009 |

★★★★☆ We had a chance to visit Amina Thai, we had dinner, I loved the place, it is very clean, beautifully decorated and cozy place, the staff was very nice and patient. We had couple of soup’s can’t remember the names they were excellent, for entrée we ordered the green curry and Pad Thai it was superb. Service was quick I am very happy with the experience I had, would definitely visit again.
I highly recommend this place for halal Thai food. Posted on June 5, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Kinda pricey but very very good. Panang and Green Curry are both excellent. Posted on August 2, 2008 |

|
★★★★★ Really good food, mashaAllah! Posted on July 3, 2008 |

|
★★★★★ Impeccable food. Been there over a dozen times. The pan fried wide noodles are the BEST!! i-yew noodle? They need to expand a little bit as during Ramazan it can get really crowded. Its an attraction for Goras as well so the best thing to do is to call ahead. Their iced tea is also great. Posted on April 19, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★★ Nice Thai food and a rare gem if you consider the other non-Halal Thai establishments. Try the lamb masammun and Yum Thalay. Posted on February 26, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★☆ Thanks to this site we found this great restaurant. Well looks like they are not lacking any positive comments . We just went there and were very pleasantly surprised with the high quality of food and service. We went there Saturday night so we had to wait a while as seating is limited. But it sure was worth the wait. Posted on February 16, 2008 |

NR Been here twice. First time it was excellent, we were there as soon as it opened for dinner. Second time it was good, but we got there right before closing and one of us got very sick afterwards. Maybe the meat was sitting out a little too long, not sure. I would just advise to get their earlier rather than later. The food is excellent, though.
To the reviewer below, I am curious as to what you did about this "domestic family issue." It seems like you also turned away. I have seen as many "domestic issues" in what you would term "liberal" or "moderate" families. These terms are very overloaded anyway and don't mean much. Both times I went, I saw maybe one of these maulvi type families you dislike. I wouldn't want some sort of stigma associated with a decent halal place. Sorry to disappoint guys, but chances are very slim that you'll witness wives slapping their husbands around on your next visit. Posted on July 15, 2007 |

|
|
NR One of the few Muslim restaurants that is actually kept clean and tidy, including the bathrooms. The food is very good. I don't care for some of the ultra conservative families that come there.. because I witnessed one terrible domestic family issue right there and the one nonmuslim waitress turned away and ignored it. ★★★★☆ Really the only place to get halal Thai food in the area, this small restaurant brings us back again and again. There are some small problems, though. The taste of the chicken ranges between "gamey" to spoiled. They also have a very bad habit of being very stingy with the rice, and then charging extra for a more reasonable amount. Even when two people order, they give rice for one. In addition, their business model is questionable, as I tried to reserve a table for nine people and was told that they would not make reservations for fear that the restaurant would be busy during that time. In my view, nine guaranteed customers is better than the theoretical customers that might have to wait. Overall, the food is very good, though, and the kanom jeeb should not be missed. We keep going back for more, even with the annoying quirks in our way. Posted on January 21, 2007 |

★★★★★ Very good food, classy resturant, and there is a little place to pray. Posted on January 4, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ It is good that we are seeing more Muslim restaurants opening up in the area, unfortunately Amina Thai has a good concept but the price and quality of the food doesn't make the concept good. The restaurant is extremely small which doesn't give a comfortable feeling. The food is not that great at all I would rate it mediocre. If you would compare their food to the average Thai restaurant the average Thai restaurant would win any day. The food is pretty pricy which makes me confused, because if you are spending that type of money you should expect quality food. Posted on September 24, 2006 |

|
★★★★★ The Panang curry over here is great! I never tried anything other than that. But my friend Mirza (who already left a post) is in love with Amina Thai. He would go there 7 days a week if he could. He's basically the Amina Thai spokesperson in the DC Metro area. When he walks into the store, they know his favorite dishes. What else can i say - he lovessss Amina Thai!!!! Posted on September 6, 2006 |

★★★★★ fantastic service, fantastic food, best of all the owner understands the importance of ambiance, and doesnt try and make it look like a dhaba in order to attract desi folks, for once you can enjoy awesome halal food and feel good not only about the food but everything else that surrounds it, attentive and friendly staff, good quality squeaky clean crokery and silverware, nicely done interior, comfortable furniture, all this only to serve arguably one of the best thai cusines being served in the dc metro, i wish ravi kabob and those other pakistani kabob places could go to this place and learn the importance of presentation from these folks. Posted on April 22, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Very nice food. Very tasty for sure ! The only thing is that if you have children I do not feel it is a very good palce for kids to come and eat. They make you feel a bit uncomfortable because the kids are around and they have a lot of glass dishes. Posted on December 7, 2005 |

★★★★★ Man, I love Thai food. Your beverage should be a Thai Iced Tea, your appetizer should be that chicken dumpling thing that's on the menu, and after your meal, your dessert should be one of the ice creams they have (I enjoyed the ginger one and green tea). I wish they gave you free refills on that Thai Iced Tea though. I down it real fast everytime and then it's $2 more down the drain if I want another one. The owner's really sweet too, she sat down and talked to us for like a half an hour one day about being a woman in Islam, etc. Excellent place. Posted on October 20, 2005 |

★★★★★ Just another WOW review. One of the nicest halal restaurants I've been to in the area. We've tried three different meals and all three were delicious. Posted on July 10, 2005 |

★★★★★ MashALLAH such a neat and tidy Muslim restaurant! The food and service is excellent. May Allah truly reward the owners! If only they would expand their restaurant and open another location in Virginia. Posted on April 1, 2005 |

★★★★★ Salaam! The site only works if people post reviews. My new husband and I went here and it was just lovely. OK gals....looking for a romantic joint to take your guy? This is it. The ambiance was so atypical halal restaurant. It felt warm and welcoming. The food was yummy and it was beautifully presented. What is nice is that they make an EFFORT to make you feel like they are making dinner for YOU. :) I can't say enough good about the place! We had an absolutely perfect meal! (And hubby seconds that opinion!) Posted on March 18, 2005 |

★★★★★ Just when you've become accustomed to the Halal Restaurants' mediocrity, Amina Thai welcomes you to the entire opposite. Neat, clean and professional service. Excellent food. Even the restrooms are clean, which makes you wonder if it is too good to be true. The owners are very nice, friendly and practicising Muslims. May Allah put Barakah in there efforts. Ameen. We drove 120 miles to try this place out. Will InshaAllah be making the drive again. Posted on December 19, 2004 |

★★★★★ What an amazing restaurant. I am a big fan of Thai food and at Amina's I had one of the tastiest Thai foods I have ever had. I tried two different items on their menu and they were amazing. Make sure to try the Fried Bananas for dessert and the Thai tea. The place is very clean and nicely managed and the price is very reasonable, especially lunch (same entrees cost $3 less for lunch). There is no discounted lunch on Saturdays though. Posted on September 11, 2004 |

★★★★★ This is the place that you have to try if you are looking for excellent tasting original Thai cuisines. Just ask the wonderful owners for them and they will suggest you which ones to pick. Many original Thai cuisines are spicy and hot. Just be prepared for them. Posted on September 9, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ I liked this place initially but after being there for the 3rd time I found the chicken was smelly and the compared to the price they charge(expensive)the portion they serve is not that much. Posted on August 22, 2004 |

★★★★★ ALhumdulilah! I love Amina's...Amina's is very simple but has a very elegant decor. The food is very tasteful and full of flavor. Amina is a small Thai Women but she means business!!! Amina and her Husband both go to my Mosque. If I could rate them on a scal of 1-10...it would definately give them 10-1/2. Please order # 23 when you go and the Spring rolls with the thai sweet and sour sauce. Posted on August 4, 2004 |

★★★★★ The BEST thai food in the DC-Maryland area. This is the standard by which Muslim businesses much strive to reach. Clean, well designed, excellent food, superior service. The sister is not afraid to shout Asalaamu Alaikum and that is comforting! This is the key, good halal food + great service = great dawah and a wonderful meal! Keep it up! Posted on August 1, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ The food wasn't as good as non-halal Thai restaurants but was still good. Posted on August 1, 2004 |

★★★★★ We visited Amina Thai with our non-muslim friends...we found the service to be wonderful and the food delicious! Some of the best Thai food in the area! Our server was very curteous and friendly and recommended several good appetizers, and the hostess was lovely. The atmosphere was comfortable for Muslims and non-Muslims alike, all were treated with respect and warmth by sister Amina! Posted on July 30, 2004 |

★★★★★ Just when I was packing up to head out west in search of a halal Thai restaurant, Amina Thai emerged from the shadows... The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, the food is phenomenal and sister Amina is the most pleasant and gracious hostess ever... May Allah(swt) reward her for of feeding hungry Muslims (and non- Muslims) with such succulent dishes. Ameen! Posted on July 19, 2004 |

★★★★★ An Asian halal restaurant that has quality food, professional service, and a clean and elegant dining environment has long been overdue. Finally, alhumdillah, DC has Amina's Thai. My wife and I went last night and were pleasantly astonished. My wife who is not a fan of Thai food became a fan of Amina's Thai. Besides the food which excellent and affordable from soup to dessert, the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. No alcohol or pork is served and the owners are practising Thai Muslims. I would highly recommend this restuarant to everyone even if you are not a fan of Thai food. Posted on June 12, 2004 |

★★★★★ My husband and I went with a non-Muslim friend of ours, and we were all impressed! I used to eat at Thai restaruants before I converted to Islam, and this is WAY better than anything I ever had before. I am not able to eat spicy food right now, so I got the Asparagus dish with chicken and it was great. Unfortunately I don't remember what my husband or our friend got, but I did try them, and they were great. I would recomend anyone and everyone to visit this restaurant. I plan to take my mom, grandma, and sister there when they come to visit, even though we live in Baltimore. It's well worth the trip. Posted on May 28, 2004 |

★★★★★ Amazing halal Thai food! My wife and I have chased Thai food all across the globe, and this is some of the best we have found. Very clean, simple, yet elegant decor. Sister Amina is a very charming and gracious hostess. Posted on May 28, 2004 |

★★★★★ The food was awesome. I had the Shrimp Tom Yum soup along with Shrimp Pad Thai. For dessert I had the mango with sticky rice. The food proportions were excellent along with a nice presentation of the food. I definately will be back many times. Posted on May 8, 2004 |

★★★★★ Hello reader, today I went to Amina's Thai Halaal restaurant, the only word come to my mind is "AWESOME!!". Iwas blown away by the taste of food, the service, & the friendliness of hosts. The owner her self; Mrs.Amina (former Assistant Manager for Orion hotel of Bangkok, Thailand for 25 yrs), were present there, greeting guests, a nice lady. She personally monitor cooking as well as keep discipline in ratio & proportion of the food(e.g. If you have 3 shrimps one time along with some platter it would be 3 any time you go there).A nice environment with light music, good decoration, clean place & cleaner bathroom(unlike many other restaurants). All together a place of properity, devotion, good service, excellent tast & friendliness. A must visit palce at leat once every week.
A very cozy palce with reasonable prices.
"Yum Nua"; an appetizer, of shreds of steak made with spices, onions & tomatoes, good for any one who likes spicy food, come in 2 varieties mild spicy & spicy. I'd it tonight & i loved it.
I'm thankfull to God that atlast we muslims have some variety to eat out side beside regular food. Posted on April 26, 2004 |

★★★★★ I love Thai food but I avoid Thai places because they usually serve pork, and I don't care what kind of rational you want to use; when you eat at a place that serves pork YOUR FOOD WILL BE CONTAMINATED TO SOME DEGREE BY IT...just ask if they have a grill especially for Muslims (yeah right). So when I heard of a HALAL THAI place I had to give it a shot. Amina Thai is EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! The place is very beautiful and very clean. The food is presented nicely and is delicious. I was so impressed with the place that I would be willing to walk in any time and order any random dish off of the menu feeling confident that whatever came out of the kitchen would be tasty. I took my mother and grandmother and it made for a most memorable evening of dining. Muslim businesses need to be supported--especially when they shine so bright as this jewel of a place in Rockville. Don't miss the experience! Posted on April 25, 2004 |

★★★★★ Alhumdulillah, you have to try this place. I was extremely impressed with the food and with the friendly service. Beyond just enjoying the food, you have to enjoy your experience when you go out to eat. I recommend that you go meet the owners while you are there as they are very humble people and we need to continue to support their business. Posted on April 23, 2004 |

★★★★★ Amina Thai has classy ambience and scrumptous dishes. Noted that the "hot and spicy" were not always the same as other non-halal Thai restaurants i've eaten at. Muslims in the DC and Baltimore region must frequent this new restaurant, especially since the Peking Chinese (muslim-owned) closed down awhile ago. Posted on April 13, 2004 |

★★★★★ My wife and visited Amina's having seen a Zabihah.com posting -- were struck by the superb food and great service. We tried the satay, pad kaprow and pad thai -- excellent . A "must visit" restaurant for halaal Thai food. Posted on April 10, 2004 |

★★★★★ excellent food, although i truly can not pronounce any of the names. the people are friendly, service excellent, and the prices are great. love the atmosphere, although it is not too fitting for a thai restaurant. albeit, def. two thumbs up for this one. its great to have some selection of cuisine when it comes to eating halal.

★★★★★ Very nice, cute, very clean, little restaurant with a wonderful owner. Food is authentic Thai. I had the Pad Kaprow with chicken. Certainly worth checking out. Food is normally quite spicy. Can't wait to go back and try their noodles and soups. Posted on March 31, 2004 |
