★☆☆☆☆ Avoid this place. I think I would of enjoyed boiling an egg at home then coming to eat here. Requested Chicken 65 and was given a plate of Chicken 65 that was re-fried 2-3 times and served. In regards to the biryani; as a male, I could have experimented in the kitchen and served a more tasteful dish. Not worth your time, not worth your money. Posted on February 13, 2019 |

★★★★★ Good broast, food is decent halal close by is a plus for me, sitting arrangement could be improve, interesting owner once you get under his skin you will enjoy chatting with him... Posted on February 12, 2019 |

★☆☆☆☆ Small grocery store , average food , nothing extra ordinary, except for it had halal meat options , but the shopkeeper initially behaved decently , then realized his arrogant side and the female was just behaving as if they are giving free food and customers were there as beggars . Perhaps family didnt get much time in teaching basic manners or etiquette in marketing . Dont intend to return . Posted on January 9, 2019 |

★★★★☆ Look up Yelp for some updated reviews. I had a bad experience here many years ago, but seems like they have improved. Give them a try! Posted on January 10, 2016 |

|
★★★★☆ The place is not one of the nicest but the food quality is pretty good. We ordered Halwa Poori and chicken Booti and both were good. Posted on October 17, 2015 |
|
|
★☆☆☆☆ Awful service. We went there and were told that we could not get any grilled food as they were busy in completing some order. They also told that we could not get any roti for the same reason. We were so pissed off that we left the restaurant. At least they should have some courtesy to serve the customers coming to their restaurant. Posted on December 28, 2014 |

★★★★★ Food is as good as it can be. The best; tastes home cooked. Buffets are real nice. will go again Posted on August 4, 2014 |

|
★★★★★ best place to get your halal needs from groceries, fresh meats and amazingly testy and flavoursome food. Must have the haleem, ribs pulao, chargha, and authentic biryaani which is so tasty and consistent at any time. And all this amazing food just steps up the restaurant level when presented in a reasonably excellent lunch buffet. Posted on June 9, 2014 |

|
★★★★★ Overall quality of the food is excellent. Specially the taste of paya, nihari, haleem, chargha and mutton biryani is awesome. It is a best place for grocery also. The dishes included in the buffet are also very good and tasty. Posted on June 9, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Very very bad food ..i think other people who r bragging about this restaurant probably went to a different place Or dont know about good food. Normally i dont write reviews but i just had to warn other people from making the same mistake that we made..we read the reviews here and decided to go .. Wow the place isnt even called baba restaurant..its some other name kabob restaurant or something but lets come to the food We ordered kabob roll and some chicken tikka masala.. I have never tasted anything that bad..there was noone to help u take the order..even though we were the ONLY people there the guy still kept forgetting what we had ordered..after all the efforts he managed to bring the food but still it was the wrong order..normally i dont care about the place or the staff or the service if the food is food to compensate for it..but it was just awful..after coming home i ended up taking an omeprazole to take care of the severe heartburn..we will NEVER be going there again..dont waste ur money going there. ★★★☆☆ 5* for the food
1* for ambiance
The food was great - had the tandoori chicken and naan and both were great. But the place is not very clean, not the kind you want to take your family for dine-in. This place has a lot of potential. Posted on February 8, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Owner is a friendly guy but the staff has no people skills and the food is not that good. Posted on May 23, 2011 |
|
|
★★☆☆☆ No ambiance. Food was edible but did not look good. Way too many curry leaves in my chicken, and red food coloring as well. For what we paid I expected to get naans with it, but no. Posted on December 10, 2010 |

★★★★★ I have eaten at Baba's many times. I never had a bad experience. Food is always delicious. Service is wonderful. I just wanted everyone to know that every other restaurant claim to have their meet halal. It may be halal but not definitely zabiha. At Baba's it is 100% zabiha. The prices are more than reasonable. My family and I would like to thank the owner of this resturant for a peice of mind that we are eating 100%zabiah meet not being fooled in the name of zabiah
Jazak Allah khair Posted on November 8, 2010 |

★★★★★ Food is really delicious and excellent service. I found price is also not expensive. It is hard for me to pick which dish is best . You really rock Masroor bhai keep it up with hard work Posted on April 21, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ The food did not look appetizing and tasted bad. The service was horrible and top it all off you can hear people fighting in the kitchen. So in my opinion they have alot of learning to do before they can run a Rest. Posted on April 9, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★★ We always look for quality at zabiha restaurant not the price. To eat in a resturant is an enjoyment with the family.
I observed that the owner/manager with the beard looked highly educated and they gave my family and me very respectable service.
Basically it was excellent service, fresh food, and dignified eating area. Posted on April 4, 2010 |

★★★★★ Best Chargha in the USA that I've ever had. Authentic Dum Biryani one could have here with Mirchi ka salan. Awesome management. Food served fresh and halal due to Halal meat shop is also owned by the restaurant manager. If someone new in town please visit this place first and you don't will alway appreciate the Halal Food & Services. Again Chargha & Dum rocks and do try their sweets as well!!! ★★★★★ I went to a restaurant one day then I found out that this is the only place to bring your family for true zabiha halal and testy food. when my family came with me, they were so happy because the owner and the employees are well educated, well behaved. The food was excellent.
WE LOVE IT. Posted on November 25, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ I decided to drive out to this place because of the great reviews it had. However, there was no visible sign and I randomly found out that it was next to a halal grocery store. I walked into the restaurant portion of it and it was completely empty on a saturday night. The people in the grocery store just stared at me and no one came to offer me a table. I am not sure if this is even open. I was very disappointed so I ended up leaving. Would not recommend Posted on November 21, 2009 |

★★★★★ At Baba you get the most exquisite assortment of Indian and Pakistani dishes. I had tried dozens of pakistany rest.in DC but this over turns all of them. This is a great place to take the family. It's atmosphere/people are good and the food is very tasty. I would recommend the Biryani and they are well known for their Charga. Their biryani would remind you of back home... Posted on May 11, 2009 |

★★★★★ This is very delightful experience to me, the food is tremendous, I will come back again. I taste most of the chicago devon restaurants, but Baba of Saint Louis, Missouri beats them all. Very friendly people to serve you with fresh and delicisous food. I bought some fresh meat and chicken they are good as they claims. I recommend everybody I know, when they visit Saint Louis, Missouri, try Baba Restaurant and try their fresh meat. Overall I am deeply satisfied. Posted on May 3, 2009 |

★★★★★ Here is what we had there:
1- Biryani:
They have a very good biryani. The portion is HUGE and the price is about $7.99 or $8.99 so (from what I remember), but two people can eat.
2- Kabob plate:
Very juicy and tender. Loved it.
3- Goat korma:
OH MY GOD! This is the BEST in town Goat Korma
4- Samosa: average but good
I also learned that they use fresh non-frozen meat to prepare their food. The zabihah guy delivers from his farm and they cook it. Where else can you find a place like this? Fresh organic meat from farm on your plate!
They just need to fix up the place a little: get rid of the boxes and trash at the entrance to make it more attractive. I agree that this is not a place to sit and eat, take out is the best bet. Posted on March 30, 2009 |

★★★★☆ I know the owner of this place but wanted to provide an objective review of this restaurant.
I have only used this place for take out - EXCELLENT Biryani, Karahi Ghist, Kabas. The best you can get in St Louis and reasonably priced. I say "rasonable" since its not cheap but also remember this is St Louis and not Chicago or New York.
I gave this 4 stars and not 5 since this is definitely not a sit-down place where you could go with your family and expect to have a great experience. It's a typical take out/grocery kind of place and if you plan to eat there then may not be the "experience" you seek. All said you will not be disappointed with the food here and I will reccomend this to anyone who enjoys Mughlai/Pakistani cooking. Posted on March 12, 2009 |

★★★★★ Its a great Pakistani restaurant cum grocery store that also sells confirmed and authenticated Halal meats of all kinds at affordable prices. Their service is very prompt, they have ample of easy and free parking outside, with host of excellent Pakistani dishes, deserts and grocery items available all days including weekends. Their location on the famous Page avenue in St. Louis is also very convenient, right in the middle of St. Louis and easily approachable from Highways 270, 64, 44 or 170. Its an excellent family oriented place and I will highly recommend that all those people who are looking for real and tasty Pakistani cuisine as well as original and genuine Pakistani grocery items, must visit it once with their families and enjoy their good food, affordable grocery items and out-standing service. ★★★★★ This is excellent place for Halal foods. I always find restaurant clean. Excellent place for sitting. Even I selected this restaurant for giving dinner to my office senior managment. Owner of this place is really a nice person. He is really cooperative and try to give maximum possible comfort. Prices are not too high. I alwasy asked for Chicken Platters with rice because I really like it. Posted on April 13, 2008 |

★★★★★ I have been to this resturant twice since its opening. It is located in a strip mall off page avenue with easy acess from I270 & I170. The resturant is located in the same facilty as the Stlouis Halal meat store. It is clean and cozy place. The owner and staff are working on the place so it will provide an inexpensive alternative for desi kabab and bbq enthusiasts.
this is a new resturant which has excellent food.
The first time i went there i had beef kabab platter. It came with rice, beef kabab and raita. The food was hot on arrival and plentiful. The kabab was bold in taste and well prepared.
I went to a birthday lunch there today. We had bbq platter. The food was plentiful. The resturant was clean. The menu is short but the prices are reasonable. Both times i had very postive expereince.
It is not the fanciest of the place but definately worth trying. Posted on December 24, 2007 |

★★★★★ Great price, good food, and excellent service - that pretty much sums it all. It was my first visit to this newly opened restaurant, and I was definitely impressed by the overall service & food I ate there. There is no other place in the St Louis Metro area that offers Zabihah BBQ Platters. The Karahi was delicious and so were the Kabob platters. The karahi was actually a real karahi unlike the so-called Karahis being sold elsewhere. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great food at a moderate price and in a family friendly environment. Posted on October 29, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ i went to this place it is not very good, they only have BBQ platers they no rice or any curry and no naans at all. the place is only big enought for 15 people and the tables and chairs look like they were bought from a junk yard. DO NOT GO THEIR Posted on October 20, 2007 |
