★★★★☆ Every time we pass through going to Atlanta we make sure to hit this place up to stock up on our halal meats. Not as cheap as Detroit but well stocked and fairly priced. mashallah good to see the Muslim area is growing wonderfully. Posted on April 3, 2015 |

★★★★★ LOVE this place!! Mashallah I cannot believe how beautiful it has become. It has such a nice atmosphere for an Islamic grocery store. This has to be the best Halal grocery store I have ever seen. The renovation is unbelievable and the decoration is even excellent. Bathrooms for both men and women is very clean. All the meat you can ask for is right there. I am never disappointed with the meat and is always very clean (no excess fat or blood) just the way we need it. The restaurant looks like its coming together very soon. Hopefully after Ramadan it will have all the delicious food, and the amazing sambusa of course. Alhamdulilah for a beautiful and clean Islamic place to shop. I am truly thankful this place isn't too much of a drive! Insha'Allah the renovation will be completed real soon! ★★★★★ Alhamdullilah, this shop has gone under an extensive renovation (still in process)! New floors, walls, doors, and equipment. Brand new meat packing, it's wrapped up and priced like you would get at chain grocer. They have a nice selection of books, dvd's, cd's and dawah materials along with clothing as well as art. They have a very nice frozen/refrigerated selection as well as a load of dry goods and produce. The restaurant portion is currently under renovation but is supposed to be opened soon insha'Allah. They have the best samosas you will ever try!! I was there with a brother today looking at the progress. They have a very nice musallah (one for sisters and the other for brothers) in two upper rooms at the front of the store which looked to be almost complete, and a place for wudu in the back, very clean restrooms. Very nice atmosphere Qu'ran playing on the loud speakers, all in all a very pleasant experience. Make dua for the owners that they will finish the project smoothly insha'Allah. ★☆☆☆☆ I was there on May'11 to purchase Halal Chicken for my friends. I walked into the store to the meat section. Even though there was a big "HALAL" sign, I asked store associate if the chicken is HALAL, he confirmed and I ordered 4 boxes Halal Chicken. He also helped to me to took the boxes to the register. While I was waiting in the line, I checked the boxes and there were no "HALAL" nor "ZABIHA" sign visible. I thought I couldn't locate them and ask store associate's help. He told me "there should be a seal on it". I checked again and couldn't find anything. He said "Chicken that they sell are Machine Cut and there shall not be any seals on the boxes nor the plastics unless I see one. " Then I asked him this question "Even though Restaurant Depot across the street carries "ZABIHA CHICKEN" why you don't sell that? Why shall I drive 20 miles to purchase Chicken from you? If I would like machine cut chicken I could go the the store in my neighborhood." There were no answers to these questions and I left the boxes, didn't purchase the stuff. This store is one of the biggest store in Atlanta area and now it is my big DISAPPOINTMENT. Unfortunately, I don't trust to the stuff they sell anymore. Posted on August 28, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing to see a Muslim store ran by non Muslims. It's very dirty and unorganized. I brought a convert one day and he was disgusted by their meat department b/c they didn't use gloves and it was all non muslims handling everything. I just buy sealed midamar and crescent chicken from them.
PLEASE CLEAN THE PLACE Posted on June 16, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ This used to be the best Halal meat Market in Atlanta. WHAT HAPPENED! I have not shopped here in a while but as my market just raised it's prices to an astronomical amount I am looking at other options. I was discusted last time I went in Al Medina(Jimmy Carter) to see a rotting moldy tomatoe on the meat service counter with tons of incence sticks sticking out of it. The whole store smells awful. The floor is dirty. Out of date food on the shelves. It seems this store has only gone down hill since it shut down the small store and moved into the larger one. The cost cutting such as hireing an amost exclusively Mexican staff have further devalued the store. I remember back when it was across the street and it was Muslim run, clean and dispite being a smaller store, it was more organized. Posted on November 16, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ This has got to be the most disorganized store I have ever seen, hence I cannot understand its popularity. The meat section is a nightmare. The produce section has nothing fresh. The supposedly biggest Islamic clothing and book store was anything but. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to discourage anyone from going, or trying to hurt their business, but a few small improvements would make a much better customer experience. Also, to be fair, the sister working the book section did say they have a shipment coming in for Ramadaan so hopefully it would be better stocked if you visit then. Posted on August 10, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ I haven't had any problems while ordering meat, but beware of buying other "international" items. They have a strict 3 day return policy. My wife bought some scarfs and they were smaller than expected, they would not return, nor would they exchange it for other goods. They suggested I talk to the manager, I believe her name was "Widad". She had just left but her husband was there and he said he could not do anything on behalf of his wife's section of the store.
Also my uncle told me that he once bought some audio CDs from there and they would not fit into his car cd player because they were thicker than the opening! They were probably made overseas. The store initially refused to return them, but eventually they did because he knew a worker there who interceded on this behalf. Posted on November 22, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ ★★ it has become smaller (the size i mean). we used to be greeted by muslim ladies wearing hijab and greeted with assalamu alikom. even though it is still a store basically for muslims, we are now greeted by hispanic ladies wearing tight jeans and low cut shirts with plenty of cleavage. this in itself made me not want to enter but i needed some products. it is over priced. used to be reasonable. only go now because my husband likes their meats! they do have a nice selection of hijabs and abayas. but they need to fix the problem with the ladies at the check out. im sure its hard for one to "lower their gaze" in here! ★★★★★ Mashallah, I have to say this is one store with a large variety of grocery items, the Zabihah meats are aleays fresh and you can find all types of meats. They sell books/cds/dvds, clothes/hijaabs, etc. Also have a little fresch cooked foods, like shawermas/gyros samosas/roasted chicken, etc. The place is going through some sort of renovation, which is good, because it could use some cleaning and a new look. But the main point for me is the Zabihah meat, which is excellent. Posted on June 22, 2007 |

★★★★★ Lots of choice and almost a collection halal zabiha, food and variety of Islamic books and audo-visual products, Mashallah.
The good thing is, it keeps on improving from day to day. Overall it has the best Isamic grocery I ever visited in the States. Posted on November 23, 2005 |

★★★★☆ if this is the big farmer's market on jimmy carter, then its overall good. huge selection, have some good clothes, prayer rugs, etc. they have an EXCELLENT selection of books, arabic, english, and urdu. some of the books did not seem in accordance to the sunnah but overall very good, one of the better books selection i've seen. only complaint is that the store smelled bad inside and out. ★★★★☆ Asalaamu Alaikum
Good meat, but be sure to go on a day that it arrives or very soon thereafter since the good stuff goes fast. This is a popular place understandably.

★★★★★ I live in Mobile Alabama. I have Al-Madina mail me frozen halal meat once a month, along with some other groceries. Their rates are very good. There is never any inconsistancy in the delivered goods. The meat is always of a good quality. Posted on May 12, 2004 |
