★★★★★ The food was delicious. I ate shabzi and it met my expectations as a persian restaurant. I tqlked with the owner of this restaurant he told me I am Muslim and the food is Halal. He also was going to show me where did he buy the meat then I told him no need.
There is alcohol
There is belly dancers in weekend Posted on November 10, 2013 |

★★★★★ Good good and a great service. Koroush was very hospitable. All halal so that was great. I have usually visited during the weekdays, only to avoid the belly dancing on weekends! Posted on November 29, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Buffet is good with fresh ingredients. Owner Koresh is an excellent host and has done upgrades in the restaurant. I would recommend this place to accommodate larger groups who would be quite pleased with their sheesh kabobs. Weekend belly dancing entertainment is also a lot of fun for the whole family. If you like some of the ingredients they also have a mini section selling these exotic Persian spices. Posted on March 30, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ ..the buffet is a very good value although they tend to emphasize chicken over red meat...the food is mostly bland but you can request hot sauce to spice things up.if you are a vegatarian than you will love it here,..as they have a wide variety of salads and veggie specialties with a persian twist..if you are into meat like lamb and kafta..than that is more or less excluded from the buffet...if you are in the area then you can definitely eat to your hearts content here..but if you are maybe wanting to make a special trip out here..the taste of the food is probably not that appealing..since the cooking style is "mass produced" and caters mostly to americans. ★☆☆☆☆ This is the worst Persian food that I have ever had in the United States so far.
This chef does NOT know how to cook.
Hummus, Baba Ghanough and salad items were salty to the extreme ... were not edible at all.
Jujeh Kabob (the chicken kabob) was so tart and dry that I could disinfect my rental car with it!
All other items if not bad were okay such as Kubideh and stews, but they were average not that great.
It is also very expensive.
No wonder they sell alcohol and have belly dancers, the food is so nasty that he has to bring in customers for booze and half naked women! How sad! Posted on January 14, 2010 |

NR Hello. I would like to clear the situation of Ali Baba in relation to the Halal meat. We have a daily buffet from 11am to 11pm 7 days a week which includes Middle Eastern appetizers and kabobs, and we also have a menu for those whishing to order off the menu.
Two years ago we had a Halal meat menu, since then had many requests from our customers and friends and we switched our buffet to Halal meat, so now we serve Halal meat on both the buffet and menu.
Our buffet is probably the most diverse and authentic Middle Eastern cooked food you can find. We serve a variety of food from all over the Middle Eastern region, and have a few Mediterranean dishes as well. We use no cans or preservatives. Everything is prepared daily and fresh with upgrade ingredients and our mouth- watering Halal meat kabobs and stews are wonderful.
Yes, we serve beer and wine for those who wish to have it, and everyone is responsible for his own act. This is a business and we provide everybody’s wishes.
I hope you will come by and visit us soon and I hope I have explained the Halal situation. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to call me should you have any questions. Sissy Posted on January 5, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ It’s a shame. I should admit you do really respect your religious, LookForHalal! I took my family to this restaurant once and was too shy to cancel our order and exit. We had our lunch in there but noticed the same experience as yours. In general, Ali Baba doesn’t look like to be a safe place for halal meat at all. And even if they are using halal meat it is not recommended to feed yourself and your loved ones in a place that Alcohol is being sold and served.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2776 Narrated byAnas ibn Malik Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) cursed ten people in connection with wine: the wine-presser, the one who has it pressed, the one who drinks it, the one who conveys it, the one to whom it is conveyed, the one who serves it, the one who sells it, the one who benefits from the price paid for it, the one who buys it, and the one for whom it is bought. Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 3666 Narrated byAbdullah ibn Umar The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Allah has cursed wine, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, the one who conveys it, and the one to whom it is conveyed. ★☆☆☆☆ We are visiting Orlando for 2008 holiday season. We drove 50 miles to have our lunch in Ali Baba. We had our lunch in the same restaurant last year, too.
Although the sign says Halal but it is doubtable because of serving Alcohol. At the time of order the waitress told us ALL the foods are made with Halal meat. But last year there were two halal pages in their menu and we were told that only some items in their menu are halal. Their new menu has no sign of halal at all.
We noticed the waitress was cleaning an overlapped glass of bear by hand. And serve people without washing her hands. Therefore, we cancelled our order and left the restaurant and wouldn’t come back again. Posted on December 30, 2008 |

★★★★☆ The authenticity of their meet being halal is debatable. I've always been told by the owner(?) that halal meet needs to be ordered by request. When it is not available, he would let us know. The food is really authentic Persian and the variety of the buffet is good. Posted on August 13, 2008 |

★★☆☆☆ This restaurant is not certain to be Halal. The manager has clearly mentioned that most of the time they are not able to purchase Halal meat and buy from regular American meat stores instead. They also serve alcohol. Posted on September 24, 2007 |
