★★★☆☆ I've been to this location a couple of times and it seems to be a very busy location due to it being in the busy town area. I love maryland chicken, find it one of the best fried chicken places in Leicester but at this location the food is inconsistent, the place is always messy but I guess its because it gets very busy....I'd try to stay away from this location but I do recommend other locations like the one on East park rd, you will enjoy the chicken :) Posted on November 5, 2010

★☆☆☆☆ This takeaway probably about 10 years was a nice approachable place to eat. Having said that if you go into any one of the shops its disastrous. Slippy floor from god knows what dirt hidden in corners and greasy worktops. The food has also fell below a standard thats suitable for consumption in an effort to be the best this establishment has reduced the quality on its food. . Im not saying I used to eat every week but occasionally yet now its revolting and many of the people I know despise it because they have swapped quality for low prices to be the best. NR Maryland for me now is very in doubtful. I saw last time they use non Halal bread which contain E471. They use the same bread named AMERICAN BREAD, which the same brand that sold at shop near my house. I bought it then I read the ingredient, it contain E471 (doesn't state whether animal or plant source) - to dustbin straightaway! So careful brothers! Posted on December 11, 2007

★★☆☆☆ having eaten here a couple of times out of urgency (i am not from leicester and when i visited a few times i tried the place out). I really wouldnt class it the best. The two times i did eat here the chicken was pinkish and food wasnt really 'fresh tasting'. Maybe if standards were raised a little it would be more pleasant to eat here. Posted on April 9, 2007

★☆☆☆☆ This establishment is disgusting, they have a total lack of hygiene I don't think any of the staff there have been on any basic hygiene courses and have made the place such a mess with total disregard for the local community and environment with reference to the Narbough Road branch I've seen waste fat dumped in the street, overflowing smelly waste bins which local residents have to put up with all year round, The Streets in the west end are continually littered with Maryland wrappers and chicken bones. also having studied the building and surrounding buildings I'm quite curious as to where the sewerage inspection cover is located my best guess is it's inside the building its self!! ★☆☆☆☆ Ive tried food from this place - and im sorry to be horrible but the food is just disgusting. And believe me, I rarely say this about southern fried food. Definetly give it a miss, even if you cant find halal food anywhere!
