★★★★★ Another AH-MAZING joint. So good that I really wish they open a branch in Orlando. Place seemed small, average clean (can do better) but very busy. Tried their Ghost pepper quarter pounder, mushroom and Swiss and buffalo wings. Their burgers were HUGE in size that to me, it's admirable of one can eat a meal in one sitting. Tasted so so good. Beef used was juicy, great seasoning and fresh. Ghost peppers gave a good kick. Wings were spicy and brought in a more heat to the meal! Loved it. This place is another MUST GO in Houston. I'd seen the listing on Zabihah for years but drove by time and time again (I worked at the hospital across the street), until I finally needed to order lunch for a work meeting. Halal Tex-Mex is not easy to come by, how could I have waited so long?! My favorite dish here is the chimichanga, which is large and delicious. The enchiladas are standard. My husband has had multiple burgers here, which are also thick, generous, and tasty. One time while getting takeout, we were mistakenly given a grilled chicken sandwich instead of the Swiss mushroom burger and didn't discover the mistake until we had driven too far away. The grilled chicken was thin and unappealing. Because we were on our way out of town, we couldn't return to fix the problem. Thankfully, the next time we were at M&M Grill, I told the cashier what had happened, and she gave us a $5 discount on that day's order. The parking lot is certainly crowded at peak times, and the restaurant can be sweltering in summer. I recommend getting your order to go. The food is worth it. Posted on April 18, 2016

★☆☆☆☆ On their yelp review on April 5, 2014 it confirms that their Turkey bacon is not halal. They have deceived us with false claims of everything on their menu being halal. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/m-and-m-grill-houston?hrid=0r_0SXuHKw2avNTWrErJaQ) On their Facebook page from November 14, 2013, Fatima Z. asked if something they (M&M Grill) posted was halal, and they (M&M Grill) replied "Fatima, all our products are halal." This is a lie. The management can't be trusted because they first advertised it as an establishment that carries halal food only, and now they turn around and say "we've never falsely advertised to you. We don't advertise Zabiha turkey bacon." How could you deceive people like this, especially when your restaurant is right next to a Masjid? I once had their Breakfast Burger, and went to pray next door at the masjid, afterwards. Now I feel disgusted that I hate HARAM food and went to pray. Posted on May 14, 2014

★☆☆☆☆ I used to LOVE this place, however, I recently came across a review on another site by a patron who noticed their turkey bacon was in a an Oscar Meyer package. The response from the owner/manager was that they did not falsely advertise, they have never said their turkey was halal. On many occasions I have ordered their burger with the turkey bacon on it, I was never informed that it was Oscar Meyer. If it's not false advertising then I assume they tell their patrons that the turkey is not halal when it is ordered. I have ordered it many times and was never once informed, so yes, I believe it is false advertisement.. If they can purchase turkey bacon from Oscar Meyer who's to say they won't go down the street to a local grocery store to purchase other meat products. Apparently the owners belief is that as long as it's not specified as halal, then it's okay even when it's not listed as non Zabihah halal on the menu. ★☆☆☆☆ Was visiting Houston recently and went here based on all the positive reviews. Honestly speaking, this was one of the worst halal american food places I have been too, not just in Houston, but in the entire country; and trust me, I have been to a lot of different Halal joints in the USA. The burgers are weak and tasteless. I ordered the double loaded cheeseburger, and while it is large in size, it was extremely small in the taste department. The service was horrible. The young girl or daughter who wears the hijab behind the cash is extremely rude and has tons of attitude. Not sure I would return simply on that fact alone. However, it is also the food that I did not enjoy. The fries were undercooked, so were the wings. The Kofta Kabab platter was hardly a kabab, but more like taco meat. Kofta kababs are supposed to take on some type of shape, i.e., like a seekh kabab. However, it was more like saucy ground beef curry. To make matters worse, I suffered a severe stomach ache the next morning and almost missed my early morning flight. Based on the above, I do NOT recommend this place. I make better food at home. Since this place has exploded in popularity (read: overrated!), the owners have become increasingly rude and neglect orders. Last time I went I waited over 20 minutes for our order (for party of 6). They totally forgot about us until we reminded them. Total amount of time to GET our food took 40min. LAST time going there! I don't recommend it no matter how good the food is. ★★★★☆ I'll give them a 5 for the burgers but they lose a point for poor service and limited seating. My husband and I went there for Iftar one night. We got there 30 minutes early and right before they got a huge rush of people. We patiently waited for our food and when people who came after us started getting theirs we went up to ask. They forgot our order! So we waited another 10 minutes for our food, well after Iftar time. The burgers are amazing but service can be improved. Unlike people suggested the loaded burger and kofta kabab, I have seen nothing special about these. It was 7/10 scale. Loaded burger had lot of stuff in it including egg omelette. Pretty filling. But, the beef shawarma is 10/10. Everyone has to try this. It is the best ever, better than Fadi's shawarma. It is a little pricy though just for one shawarma, we paid like $8. We paid another $9 for loaded burger. Inside is not fabolous, not a place to enjoy with your loved one. Given the location, I expect prices to be a little lower, like $5.5 for Shawarma.
